A few years ago, I fell in love with the beauty of Tulum. While Tulum is usually known for its beautiful beaches and pyramids, the city is sadly - and silently - suffering from a serious problem of plastic waste. At the same time, local communities are being pushed away from the city a bit more everyday. Therefore, I founded an association called “MOM I’M FINE PROJECT” with an ambitious goal: creating a school made out of recycled plastic, where children from the communities can learn art, sports and well-being for free. All of this just with the support of people who believe in the project, and without the help of any political party or brand that has a marketing interest. We would like this school to become a symbol and if it turns into a success story, we would replicate it around the world. In early in 2015, The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International—with the support of the Liberian government, dozens of organizations and individual donors from around the world—began providing emergency care to more than 60 chimpanzees in Liberia, Africa who were previously used in invasive research by a U.S. based research organization. Thanks to the incredible support we’ve received, we have been able to not only create a more stable situation for the chimpanzees but make several major improvements in their care, including the daily delivery of a nutritious and diverse diet, constant access to fresh water, additional birth control and the development of a highly-qualified, paid care team responsible for the daily operations of our work in Liberia. We’ve also been able to acquire much needed equipment, including a boat and motor to deliver food to the chimpanzees.  Fortunately, the situation has moved out of the emergency phase and The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International have taken on responsibility for the lifetime care of the chimpanzees. The research organization that used the chimpanzees in research has provided approximately half of the estimated funding needed for the chimps’ lifetime care. Fecha de creación: 24 de noviembre de 2019 El santuario de perros ancianos "Las Huellas de Thor" se encuentra en Ocaña (Toledo) y alberga mas de 50 perros, muchos de ellos ancianos.  Nuestro trabajo consiste en rescatar perros ancianos que nadie quiere, recuperarlos y darles una vida digna, en libertad, hasta el final de sus días en el santuario.  No somos una perrera ni somos una protectora convencional, en el santuario nuestros  perros viven en libertad, sueltos, libres, en manada, todos juntos, como si de una gran familia se tratara.  Nuestra finca, aunque modesta y construida con materiales reciclados, esta diseñada para que los perros tengan todas las comodidades posibles, sofás, colchones, estufas de leña para el invierno y piscinas para el verano. Zonas para tomar el sol y zonas de sombra.  En solo un año hemos conseguido que una finca sin nada sea el cómodo hogar de muchos abueletes que ahora viven felices con nosotros. Nos queda aun mucho por avanzar, pero ahora mismo tenemos un problema que nos recorre el cuerpo cada día. Nuestro alquiler tiene fecha de caducidad, el 1 de  octubre de 2020 tendremos que abandonar el santuario. Nuestro alquiler se acaba y el dueño del terreno quiere venderlo. Tenemos tan solo unos meses para recaudar el dinero para comprar la finca y no quedarnos en la calle con mas de 50 perros ancianos.  El santuario es hogar, es el lugar donde Lenon dio sus primeros trotes en libertad, donde Canasto dejo de ver cadenas atadas en su cuello,  donde Ringo aprendió a volver a mover el rabo cuando llegó muerto en vida después de 6 años en la perrera.
