Yes defintiely, well for a start Ian, Peter and Eve.. .despite meeting them on here over 2 years ago, I wouldn’t class them as ‘internet friends’ any more as they’ve all been a part of my life for so long etc also Emily and Ferny fall into that category because even though I’m not as close with them, I sort of forget how I met them lol 

and then Mia and Seona, I would definitely class them as actual friends even though I haven’t met them, I trust them a million percent and absolutely love them both so much omg

But Sam isn't gay - he married Rosie Cotton. Is that not evidence enough to suggest that he isn't gay given that he had at least 2 children with her as well? I certainly agree to a degree that fangirls project homosexuality onto certain characters in order to ship a relationship that isn't explicitly, which increases a degree of popularity in certain fandoms. I'm not homophobic, I'm merely implying that suggesting that Frodo and Sam are gay may slightly be clutching at straws if you get my drif

No, it's certainly not evidence enough. Gay men marry women and have children all the time. Men have gay relationships and straight relationships in their lives. Gay is a label. Sam could have been figuring out his own sexuality, or expressing his love for Frodo in a way that was different than his usual sexuality. I'm not saying Frodo and Sam ARE gay, but I'm saying based on my own reading of the text that is what I've taken from it. I didn't go into it wanting them to be gay, I have always thought they were since I was 12 and didn't understand what that meant.thanks for your response though!
