Do you plan on making this year your best year ever? I plan on having my best year yet! Because I’m going to make it that way....I’m just going to do the work. I’m asking because with the change of the year, most people expect that things are just going to magically get better. They say things like this is going to be “my year", then think and hope the universe will just deliver the results. But thats total crap. Because It doesn't work like that. The only way you can make it "your year" is to put in the work. Our life is a direct reflection of the actions we take every single day... so you have to #takemassiveaction you have to #dothework to get the results you want. This year will have plenty of opportunities for all of us but what will separate the winners from the losers is who does the work to capitalize on those opportunities. Yes. 11 years ago my life was in shambles. I got kicked in the teeth by this thing called “LIFE” and I lost everything. I was broke, bankrupt, divorced and emotionally and mentally beaten. But not once did I ever think about quitting or giving up on my dreams. Yes I failed and yes I made HUGE mistakes as an entrepreneur but that’s life. It’s those moments in life that define who you are and what you’re made of. What do you do when it all falls apart and you’ve hit rock bottom? You dust yourself off, you get the fuck back up and you keep investing in yourself because you understand that struggle in life gives things value. And that’s what I did! I pushed on. I learned from my mistakes I studied I read I found a mentor And I modeled success Was it easy to pull myself out of that hole? Hell no! It was HARD and it took much longer than I expected but I stayed the course. I didn’t give up! And eventually things started to turn, momentum kicked in and I dug myself out…becaming much stronger, smarter, confident, and more successful because of it. MJ is someone I modeled and tried to emulate when I was looking to improve my basketball game back in my high school and college playing days. . I was an average basketball player but in 8th grade I made the commitment to be the best player in my school. . So I watched Jordan video after Jordan video. (DVD’s) 🤣 . I watched every single game and I would go outside afterwards and practice for hours on end. . Everyday as soon as the bus dropped me home from school I’d start shooting, practicing his moves, modeled the way he shot, worked on my vertical and dunking the ball, and yes, I’d even stick my tongue out from time to time 🤣👅 . Some days I didn’t want to put in the work. But It was a goal I was committed to so I didn’t anyway. Did I fulfill my childhood dream of playing in the NBA...NO, but I did become the best player on my team, was an all star in our league, received a scholarship for Division II basketball and became a pretty good dunker standing at only 6 feet tall. . Basketball became one of my passions, still is, and I went for it. I would have never had any of that success and maybe not even realized that was a passion of mine unless I put in the work. Today I coach youth basketball, still play, and am a huge fan of the game! . Your passions may not make you money or a huge star, but if you pursue them and never quit they will help lead you to a fulfilled and happy life. So what are you passionate about? What is the outcome you to see? Who can you model to get there? .
