It's Iron Fist's 46th Anniversary this week! To celebrate the occasion, I'm treating fans to an exclusive interview with Kaare Andrews!

Andrews was very willing to share his time and thoughts on his past Iron Fist projects, his artistic style, and his vision for the Netflix series that was virtually ignored.

Here's an excerpt:

"The [Marvel/Netflix] showrunners went a different way. In fact, they already had a vision worked out, they just had some scheduling issues. The show is what the show is. There are things that worked and things that didn’t but translating these comic characters to film is hard for anyone.

"But… I still have that original breakdown of how to make it work. I think the most important thing is to always honor the character, not reinvent him. Ultimately what is the core of that character? The distilled, one-sentence statement that makes him unique and important."

@living-weapon Stella was happy that she and Sam found Bucky. Her Bucky. He didn't remember himself but he remembered her mom. He remembered how she would put newspaper in her shoes to keep her warm in the colder months. She remembered when they shared a bed in the tenant apartment. When he would take her out dancing even when she would protest but also by the end of the night have fun with Bucky. They kissed, once. Before he fell off the train. They spoke of words of love to each other, whether it was platonic or romantic. But that Bucky has been learning a lot more, and remembering a lot more, Stella will be there for every step. So here she sat on the couch at her apartment in Brooklyn, keeping watch over Bucky. It's been a month since she found him and they have been living together. Although not the way she had hoped. She heard footsteps behind her and she turned around softly to see Bucky. "Good morning." Stella greeted him softly. @living-weapon
