Story Summary:
Giant Days is an ongoing series of comics following Daisy, Susan, and Esther, from their first year away at college and onward.
Rating: ★★★★★
I only have good things to say about this series. It is one of the most purely enjoyable comics that I’ve read with a lovable, diverse cast of characters. Daisy is the typically good-natured, motherly type, Susan’s the sarcastic tomboy, and Esther’s the boy-crazy goth, but they’re each developed over the series to represent more than their stereotype. Their interactions along with the supporting cast (Ed and McGraw especially) are genuinely adorable, hilarious, and extremely relatable for young adults struggling to prepare themselves for the future.
This comic features stylish and animated artwork, balances humor with harsh realities young people face today, and is jam-packed with pop culture references and timely subjects. I’d definitely recommend this for those who have lived away at school, especially in recent years, and for people who need a good laugh.
