I have a theory, that Aerion would have greatly benefitted from having an older sister. I am an older sister to a formerly feral younger brother. When you have a feral younger brother it is very important that they learn that their shithead actions have shithead consequences. And it's crucial that it happens regularly before they become teenagers and suddenly gain Man Strength™️. When they become physically stronger than you, switch to psychological warfare as it is much more effective and helps them build character.
6 things I would have done as Aerion's older sister:
If he wanted to play dragons with me and my friends, we'd be Balerion, Vhagar and Vermithor and he would be a dragon egg (this is the Westeros equivalent of being the dog)
I would tell him, that Maekar is not really his father and that he was found in the stables in a pile of horse shit. And that the only reason Maekar wanted to keep him, was if needed a child for bloodmagic one day. (And I'd tell him, that he has Targaryen silver hair because the maester dyes it when he's asleep)
If he were being an impudent little rat, I would wrap him tightly in blanket and carry him under my arm down to the stables. Then I would tell him that he could always move back into the stables, but that'd have to watch out for the maneating horses. (I would feed them something red beforehand to really sell it. Please note that younger brothers should be wrapped and transported with care, when your parents are watching.)
He wouldn't be mean to animals, because I would have taught him how to pet them. (Here, I would also threaten with the maneating horses if necessary)
I would put him in silk dresses and make him play princesses with me. (His princess drag name is Aeriana Grandiose Delusions)
My older sister friends would naturally call him "lizard boy" and laugh at him. (While this is not good for one's self esteem, it's much better to be bullied by your older sister and her friends than to become a grownass dragon furry)
I fully believe these initiatives would have kept Aerion humble, given him the perfect amount of trauma to make him funny and prevented the events at the Tourney at Ashford Meadow. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
