anyone have any recommendations for classes for a lizardfolk character who genuinely thinks he's a dragonborn? Basic idea is he's been raised to think he's a dragonborn by whoever raised him, and thinks the reason he doesnt have a breath weapon is because its like a puberty thing and he's just a late bloomer.
The three ideas are he was either:
Raised by well-meaning but uninformed humans who also genuinely thought/think he's a dragonborn, and if they know he isnt now they dont have the heart to tell him.
Raised by dragonborns who know he's not a dragonborn, but raised him from an egg after he was orphaned as one of their own. no one has told him he's adopted.
Raised by a dragon with a similar story to the last.
My current ideas revolve around the concept of him going out into the world on a quest that serves as like a right of passage, maybe he's convinced that if he completes this mission his community has sent him on he'll finally be a man and get his breath weapon.
Class ideas from me have been Cleric, if he was raised by dragonborn, and warlock if he was raised by a dragon and the dragon parent is his patron. If you have a better idea for a class that would be funnier or cooler, or both, lmk in reblogs, comments, or asks (anon is on) because im drawing a blank on this poor confused little guy. i want him to be silly but to kinda make cohesive sense.

Rus/Russel/Rustle— lizardfolk monk.
He emerged from the swamp (with mucky clothes of course) and said “hey, everything out here is pretty nifty,” after eating some people who tried to rob a random traveler— their lasts words were “what’s that rustling noise…?” Now he chills out with the party who tell him not to eat people and show him all sorts of new and delightful and frightening things (that he never experienced cuz he was a swamp boy).
Originally his name was Skitter but I’ve grown too attached so now he’s not just a joke rip off of Fritter. But Skitter is his nickname.
Cricket, an NPC in a "oneshot" I'm running for some friends!
bird, this is the 7th week in a row you’ve shown rustle in class
