GUESS WHOS ON THE BRINK!
I just need to put this out there and hope it finds the right people but I just spent an hour reading everything that has come out about Adam/SkyDoesMinecraft/NetNobody and I feel like nothing.
If you haven’t, read @ Lizbuggie’s statement on twitter, if you search NetNobody, it’s the first thing that comes up.
Her, Dawn, Alese, YourPalRoss, Gizzy Gazza, Mithzan, MunchingBrotato (Who goes by CrispyCloud now bc of Adam). All of them and more have stories about what they went through with Adam, and this is only in the past 24 HOURS.
I feel like I failed because I didn’t see the signs, because they were there, but I was barely 10 when the first cops and robbers came out. The victims are nothing but tired and understanding towards fans like me, who were too young to know and too naive to think critically.
I failed them because I was stupid, there’s no excuse and I can’t even properly apologize because I did the worse thing a naive fan could do. I did nothing.
Idk I just feel like I’ve lost a good part of my childhood because how can I look back on something I enjoyed and not relate it to an abuser who I supported.
I genuinely hope that Adam can get help, they don’t deserve death threats but they do deserve a reality check. It’s well past over due, but they have to get better, and that’s something that we all can support. We support them getting help AND we support the victims.
I hope that every Adam/Sky/NetNobody fan reads what they did to others. It’s a lot and I don’t expect anyone to understand or read all of it, but every one of them deserves to be heard and seen and, more importantly, believed.
We’ve spent enough time believing Adam.
