I want to start this off by saying that Hoagie is a very inhumane character. Not that he’s a bad person or he has no morals, but in the sense that he has insanely incredible feats that no human person could possibly do.
He has an incredible appetite, shown to eat things that quite literally should not be eaten, he didn’t even bat an eye when eating literal human eye crust.
He’s also incredibly smart, coding and building the majority of sector Vs spacecrafts and vehicles, weapons, and even the entire treehouse (That, by the way, was used to break Nigel and Lizzie up, which I firmly believe was apart of the GKNDs plan of indoctrinating Nigel, but whatever ig)
On another, totally unrelated note, if know me and you know this account, you know that I think Hoagie and Lizzie are very similar, at least in appearance.
I mean, same build, near identical color palettes (blues, yellows, whites), big goofy glasses, that’s the same person honestly.
But it’s not even just their base designs that look similar ether, this happens a few times throughout the series
(Just a few examples of when I thought they had similar color palettes or just looked similar in general, plus Hoagies fem design literally having the same bubble braids Lizzie usually has)
And while yes, Hoagie canonically hates Lizzie like everyone else in sector V, they’re still physically similar in a few ways, personality, egos, looks and other things like that.
Now, it probably sounds like I’m reaching. These two characters were never written to be connected in anyway, There’s no way these two were intended to be similar.
But what if that WAS intended? What if the show WANTED you to put them in the same box? What if the show WANTED them to be similar? 
What if they had the same goal in mind?
What if they had the same mission?

 Before Numbuh 2 had any real personality, one of his more common lines throughout season one and two was: “what are we gonna do now, Numbuh 1?”
He stopped saying this in later seasons, when they actually gave him his own character, but he still very commonly turns to Nigel asking about what to do in specific situations, and this happens a lot more than you think. (I promise go back and look at seasons one and two and you’ll see how many times he says that one specific line, or somthing close adjacent)
However, one episode I absolutely love and want to bring up, you know it. You love it
The main reason I love this episode so much is because we’re introduced to two of our other aliens for the first time (numbuh infinity and I’m not typing all of that)
But I also find it interesting that HOAGIE!was the main focus of this episode, Atleast in an antagonistic role.
He pretty much spent the entire episode dwindling Nigel down. Getting in his head and trying to convince him to sign the bill. And if we piggy back on the idea that the dream Nigel had was simulated by the GKND, we can also assume one other thing.
Hoagie (wether it’s like a coded dream simulator version or an actual version of Hoagies mind) was trying to see if Nigel was willing to give up the lives of children for his own freedom.
HE WAS TESTING HIM TO SEE IF HE WOULD EVER BETRAY THE GKND.
HES DOING THE EXACT SAME THING LIZZIE IS. HES TESTING NIGEL TO SEE WHO HE IS, WHERE HIS VALUES LIE, HOW LOYAL HE COULD BE.
HES BEEN DOING THIS FROM THE BEGINNING. WE’VE KNOWN SINCE THE BEGINNING. HOAGIE P GILLIGAN IS A FRAUD AND IM ONTO HIM.
