#lizzy does art #persona 3 #junpei iori #yukari takeba #minato arisato #makoto yuki #YAAAY COOL COLORS HALF OF THE RAINBOW VIDEO LANDSCAPE SERIES IS NOW COMPLETE!!! 💚💙💜#that's 3 out of 6!!! yippee!!! now i just got the warm colors to do ❤🧡💛. will i do it by the end of the year is TBD #i love how it took me 17 months to get back to doing this. it really is like that sometimes with illustration series tbh #and i want to say thats OK and thats a NORMAL thing . not everything needs to be done in one continuous burst #anyways some director's commentary abt this piece. i knew for a very long time that persona 3 would be my representative for green #i just remember prolonging any actual work on the series because after finishing good egg galaxy- i went on to draw color keys-#of the p3 protag's room one of which included the color green. and i was like. 'i dont wanna draw a green lighting piece again' (stops)#the dark hour from persona 3 is a very iconic part of it's visuals and atmosphere! the hard part was choosing which location from p3 to rep #i was very intent on doing thebel block as it's the first and most recognizable block of tartarus. (and i love tartarus) HOWEVER.#the thumbnailing process revealed that thebel block would be better portrayed in portrait orientation. so i was like. ok. smthn else then.#i ended up settling for the arcana priestess fight location because it'd still let me put tartarus in the forefront + i love a wide shot!!#i had fun working on this! happy 20th anniversary to one of my favorite games of all time yippee!! i love p3 5ever (haha its been 5 years)#drawing persona 3 fanart feels like a second home to me. thanks everyone for looking! please look forward to the yellow entry-#whenever i decide to do it. i've known what i wanted to do for it for awhile its just a matter of thumbnailing and getting refs tbh #ok im done yapping i hope everyone's been enjoying their july <3 don't burn yourselves out if you're doing artfight OK? lizz cares u. gn

this character design was done as an exercise for fun! the @sheldonspickszine mod team thought it'd be fun to do gijinkas of the starting weapons for each class as a nice little bonus for artfight. i chose blaster because i thought it'd be funny to personify the lack of blaster votes from the first two weeks of the interest check results.

YKNOW. somehing concise and simplified like that goes a long way #i need to do more char designs so i can tell whether or not me liking how blast's design came out is from recency bias or not LOLOLOL #i really enjoy the original inspos that made blaster (custom cars...) and really wanted that to shine through here!#i think i've previously alluded to being on artfight... i will be taking it easy this year but im excited 2 see what everyone makes!
