Crimson always thought that the sky was very interesting to watch. When they weren’t poking around the forest in search of treasures and wild animals, they would occasionally lay down and stare at the clouds or the stars. Growing up in a very rural town kept the light pollution down and Crimson’s interest up.
Sadly, the school was right in the middle of the city and there were very few places where they could lay back and enjoy the slow passing of the clouds and the wind across their face.
However, every cloud has its silver lining. Crimson was able to go outside in the middle of lunch and look at the clouds without anyone bothering them. So here they lay in the warm grass in the school’s fields, enjoying the sunny day and everything it had to offer. Being an outdoorsman helped you really appreciate the finer things in nature.
As a shadow came into their line of sight, the student frowned. Of course humans were also a thing of nature and bound to cross their path even when they were actively trying to avoid them. Crimson didn’t even sit up as they looked in the direction of whoever was going to disturb them.
Speaking up would have been a waste of energy and risk the other student spotting Crimson if they hadn’t already. All Crimson did was raise their hand to shield their eyes from the sun and make a small grunting sound. Ah yes, truly the best of hosts.
