There is a safespot during Yuuka's last attack from stage 6 in Lotus Land Story, Normal difficulty. However, I haven't tested it at MAX rank, so I can't guarantee it will work then.

There is a safespot during Yuuka's last attack from stage 6 in Lotus Land Story, Normal difficulty. However, I haven't tested it at MAX rank, so I can't guarantee it will work then.
Some of you might already know about this safespot from Kurumi's midboss fight in Lotus Land Story. With Marisa, try to position her broom on Kurumi's face.
The gifs showcase all four difficulties:
Easy, Normal Hard, Lunatic
It is possible to timeout Marisa Kirisame during stage 4 of Lotus Land Story if you have enough patience. Her healthbar never decreases or changes colours.
Mugetsu's attacks - Lotus Land Story
When you fight Mugetsu, there are two main sets of patterns.
The first set consists of 4 different attacks. They are repeated in the following order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
a flower of white pellets
ring of round blue bullets + ring of moving yellow stars + rain of blue danmaku in the shape of "=" (also few "=" bullets are shot in opposite direction)
rain of smaller round yellow bullets
two rings of round blue bullets
The second set consists of 2 different attacks. The first pattern occurs only once, then it switches to the second pattern, which lasts until Mugetsu is defeated:
multiple rings of white pellets and round blue bullets
a flower of white pellets + a flower of blue danmaku in the shape of "=" (the two flowers have opposite orientations - the white pellets one has a counterclockwise orientation while the blue danmaku one has a clockwise orientation)
Timeouting Mugetsu's attacks will trigger a timeout phase, which is a more powerful version of the attack. For comparison purposes, left side gifs are the regular pattern and right side gifs are the timeout phase pattern. The videos used to create the gifs are Jaimers' youtube.com/watch?v=EC2K9hbP3e8 for the regular phase and Medal DAKA's youtube.com/watch?v=5BoKWIc20JM for the timeout phase.
The first pattern seems to have a timeout correspondent where Mugetsu rapidly fires circles of white pellets and blue "=" danmaku, along with some more random white pellets scattered throughout the pattern.
The second pattern has a timeout phase similar to the normal phase, but Mugetsu rapidly shoots rings of blue "=" danmaku. Also there is no longer a "rain" aspect of the "=" bullets, now they are fired at random in all directions.
For the third pattern, the timeout phase includes rapid shots of rings of blue danmaku in the shape of "=", but the behaviour of the small round yellow bullets seems to vary. In Medal DAKA's video there are two yellow rings fired, followed by many more similar bullets which don't fall as a regular rain anymore, but swing as they fall. In Jaimers' video, there seem to be more rings of yellow bullets and less "rain" ones. It could be the rank system that influences this, but I am not very sure.
The fourth phase does not have any timeout. From the second set of patterns the first one has no timeout, but the second one is just a more intense version of the normal phase. It has the same type of bullets, which are fired at a higher speed and frequency (more blue "=" danmaku is fired during the timeout phase).
Details about Gengetsu's attacks will be covered in another post.
Elly's healthbar and timeouting - Lotus Land Story
Elly's healthbar goes from white → yellow → cyan → magenta → red. When the healthbar turns from magenta to red, the group of patterns doesn't change for a while (unless you deplete the healthbar even more). At first, you will face the following, in a repeating order:
circles of white pellets
intertwining circles of white pellets
ring of round blue bullets
rain of round blue bullets in the shape of Λ, then V (I don't know how to describe this better)
semicircle with few rows of round yellow bullets followed by another ring of round blue bullets
If you continue to shoot Elly, you will notice a small explosion, marking the beginning of a new set of patterns (I will call it "red phase 2" for the purpose of this post, but the set of patterns do not have any official name).
The difference between red phase 1 and red phase 2 is that the Λ,V rain of blue bullets is replaced with circles of blue danmaku that looks like an = (at the moment of writing this post I haven't found any jargon term for them that's most commonly used).
If you timeout red phase 2, Elly will still have remaining healthbar when she explodes.
If you timeout red phase 1, it will never advance to red phase 2 and the healthbar will completely disappear when Elly explodes.
If you timeout magenta phase 2, the healthbar will never turn red. Instead, Elly will be completely defeated at the end of the magenta phase 2 timeout, with no healthbar remaining.
Gengetsu’s attacks - Lotus Land Story
There are six groups of attacks during Gengetsu's fight. The first four consist of two patterns each, while the last two have only one pattern.
Timeouting them will trigger a timeout phase, which is a more powerful version of the attack. The fifth one does not have a timeout phase, though. The gifs below illustrate the regular pattern vs the timeout one.
For comparison purposes, left side gifs are the regular pattern and right side gifs are the timeout phase pattern. The videos used to create the gifs are Jaimers’ youtube.com/watch?v=EC2K9hbP3e8 for the regular phase and Medal DAKA’s youtube.com/watch?v=5BoKWIc20JM for the timeout phase.

Status screens - Lotus Land Story
If you play as usual on Normal/Hard/Lunatic difficulties and you start with 3 or less lives, the Clear Bonus!! screen will not contain any penalties. The difficulty bonus will be shown in green.
This post will contain references from both trial and full version. In the full version a 'Bomb Extend ! !' is awarded at the end of each stage with a status screen (excepting stage 6 and extra stage), shifting a bit the position of some rows on the status screen.
If you start with more than 3 lives, a corresponding penalty will be added. The more lives you start with, the greater the penalty. Similarly, if you Continue, a corresponding penalty will be added. The more times you Continue, the greater the penalty. Left side pictures are from the trial version, while the right side pictures are from the full version.
If you play on Easy, the difficulty bonus will be shown with red instead of green.
If you timeout the last attack of a boss, the difficulty bonus, the continue penalty (if existing) and the life penalty (if existing) are replaced by a failure multiplier of '× 0.0' ('Failed to exterminate evil spirit boss').
In the trial version (left side picture), defeating Elly will get you the 'Congratulation!!' screen with the ALL Clear bonus instead of the STAGE Bonus, since the trial ends at stage 3. In the full version (middle picture), defeating Elly will get you the 'Clear Bonus!!' screen and only when defeating Yuuka in stage 6 (right side picture) you will get the 'Congratulation!!" screen.
Timeouting Elly is a bit of unusual situation. If you timeout magenta phase 2/red phase 1 (as seen in /post/734827652809146368/), the bullets from the screen are cleared and you will get the difficulty multiplier. But if you timeout red phase 2, the bullets are not cleared and you will get the failure multiplier.
Left side picture is from timeouting Elly red phase 2 in the trial version, middle picture is from timeouting Elly red phase 2 in the full version and right side picture is from timeouting Yuuka's last attack from stage 6.
It doesn't matter if you kill or timeout Yuuka's last attack from stage 5 on Easy (or higher difficulties if you used Continue), you will not get any status screen. The screen will fade to black and you will get the bad ending scene. On Normal or higher difficulties, if you did not Continue, you get the status screen as usual and the game progresses to stage 6.
Losing your last life during stage 6 will also make the screen fade to black and you will not be able to Continue. There will be no status screen and you will see the bad ending instead.
The Extra stage 'Congratulation!!' screen does not contain any difficulty bonus. Compared to the regular stages, the 'Lives remaining in stock' multiplier is '× 30000' instead of '× 10000'. There cannot be any lives or continues penalties, so the only penalty would be if you timeout Gengetsu's last attack.
The extra stage status screens were taken from Miler's videos: youtube.com/watch?v=YnTcysxIsjU and youtube.com/watch?v=FMlBuQgrepc. Since the videos were stretched, the screenshots have been resized to match the style of the rest of screenshots from the post. Therefore, dimensions of these two screenshots are not 100% accurate.
This post is meant to be more of a visual reference of the 'Clear Bonus!!' and 'Congratulation!!' screens from Lotus Land Story. For technical details about how stuff is calculated on those status screens, please consult the wiki.
From the stage midbosses that you can defeat in Lotus Land Story, only the stage 1 midboss autodestructs if you don’t shoot it. The other ones just fly away.
