Love like the galaxy spoilers
The angst potential if Love Like The Galaxy had actually ended on ep 51.
Like the circular ending.
Ling buyi’s first scene is him coming from war and ending with him going back to that life. He’s accomplished the one thing he swore since his first breath as Ling Buyi and he’s done it now. And now he has nothing. He’s completed his revenge but lost everything and everyone he’s loved going back to the war his emperor- empress family did so much to pull him out of.
And Niaoniao started that story with her being essentially imprisoned by her own family and now choosing to isolate herself basically abandoning them back. Wanting more than anything to be accepted and loved and NOT LEFT behind now leaving her home and family. It is not a cage of her making but it is one she chooses. Wanting to travel and learn and be her innovator self now essentially imprisoned in the restrictive palace. And worse that’s what her own mother and family wanted. Proper, demure daughter instead of her true self. Being in the empress palace and inner circle would’ve been close to the highest honor then. Something a girl should strive for kind of thing.
Her entire story she fights for her freedom anyway she can. First through her parents coming back which pretty much backfires. Then with her marriage with Yao, find someone on equal footing and living with mutual respect and love (even if it’s not like the one that could move galaxies). But living a quiet lovely life where she was herself. Even with LB she needs more to be recognized as herself and not the woman the general proposed to or the general’s finance. And at ep 51 she becomes the woman the general left.
Sometimes things don’t end on a happy upbeat note. Sometimes you go through fifty episodes to end back where you were but also completely changed within yourself.
