taking 𝚝𝚠𝚘 𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚙𝚜 𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 to her one step forward, the boy watches her- no longer a toddling little thing- and instead more beast than boy. as feral as the brutal winter winds coming to claim their lives, their land, and their souls should nothing be done to prevent it, a lip pulls up over his teeth ; snarling like his great beast and protector would have done.

" 𝚘𝚜𝚑𝚊 ! " he demands with a cry, the boy's eyes flickering now from the girl to those that surround her– knights, soldiers, some wounded but all scattered aboust the courtyard watching on their reunion ; the boy bristling at their presence and likely to lash out should one draw too close.
