"I am just part of your game, am I not? I'm the antagonist, the bad guy in a way. I have no route other than bad ones and yet, you want to try?"
Saeran's voice rang out in MC's head, making her dizzy and somewhat sick to her stomach. It was so loud in her ears, like he was there screaming at her, but he wasn't. She rolled over nd rika's bed, not able to sleep. turning on her phone, she stared blankly as they guys chatted with themselves. She didn't talk and after a while, Seven called her asking why she wasn't saying anything to the other guys. MC just replied in a lazy voice that she couldn't sleep then after silence, another person's voice could be heard, and Seven was silent. "It's youuu," the voice sounded a little sleep deprived, "I see. . . So you can't sleep. I would come by but. . Seven. . Would be angry at me."
"Who are you?" MC asked, knowing the answer but not wanting to believe it, "What happened to Seven?"
"He's fine," The sarcasm in his voice drowned out the drowsiness, "There's not much you can expect from a guy who's lived under lies and wore masks all his life, right? Anyways. . I hope you weren't epecting to be able to get the True Route with Saeyoung, not when you're going after me. . I must be going now do call back. ."
The phone turned off, leaving MC in silence. She might as well forget about sleeping tonight, it was cold and she was very worried. MC tried to call back, moving her hair out of her face so she could see the screen. No luck.
After around five tries to call Seven, he answered, his voice shakey as he asked her why she was calling so much, as if nothing had happened with the voice. MC had to breathlessly explain the voice she had heard, but didn't explain what been said.
"Shh," Seven cooed gently as she finished her story, "Lay your head on the pillow I'll put on a lullaby or some piano music to help you seep, just don't hang up, okay?"
Fast typing could be heard from the other side of the phone, followed by gentle piano music without any words. MC breathed out a quiet "thank you" mixed in with a small sigh, pulling the now colder blankets over her shoulders, laying the phone down beside her pillow so she could hear the music.
Seven's voice seemed distant as if he ad set the phone down somewhere, probably beside the computer's speakers so the music would be louder and clearer Just before MC fell asleep, she heard Seven quietly humming the lyrics like he knew the song the music came from by heart.
MC drifted to sleep, this time her dreams not being disturbed by Saeran's taunts. She wasn't awake when the song ended.
"Are you asleep?" Seven's voice was quiet, ". . Ah, I see. Good night sweetheart, sweet dreams. . . Please, forget about Saeran. Come for me, even if its just for the True Route. . Come love me, I've waited so long. ." He was definitely crying by now, but he didn't stop speaking, "I-I've seen you love Jumin, and Zen, Ysung too You've even gone after Jaehee. . But that's okay. You'll come love me one day, right? Eventually, I know you will I just have to wait a little longer, Right?"
The phone call ended and MC shifted in her sleep, the silence surrounding her sounding a bit disturbing, even if she was asleep.
The next day felt off. Seven was much more reclusive than he was normally, he didn't talk much to MC at all. But she did get emails from 'Unknown', too many in fact. But that was okay, MC didn't mind it. During the middle of the day, MC got an email from Unknown, a set of directions. MC grabbed her things, reading to go, when Seven messaged her.
"Don't go."
"MC, you don't know where you're going to go."
"It could be dangerous."
"MC listen to me. . . Don't do it."
MC had no idea what to text back, sadly settling with a simple "I'm sorry."
Despite being told not to leave, she left anyways, glancing at her phone now and then to check on the messages. She reached her destination in under a minute. It was. . . A coffee shop? One of MC's favorite places to go, too. She couldn't help but wonder why Unknown sent her there, but she wasn't complaining about it.
"Boo. ." A cold, familiar voice behind her whispered in a low, scary tone. A hand was put over her mouth, and she was dragged from the streets just like that. MC screamed inside her head, telling herself she should have listened to Seven, she should have listened to Seven. .
--
MC was brought to an unoccupied, desolate apartment complex, tied to a pole with her arms dangling over her head and she was on her knees. The ropes used to tie her torso to the pole were so tight she could barely breath, and MC's back was about to give out from the pain of having a pole pressed to the same spot on her back for hours. Saeran had taken her phone away, it being only feet away from her on the cold grey stone floor.
Once she was ted up, Saeran had left to take care of what he called ' private matters ' and when he came back, he was especially devious to her, almost pulling her into a kiss before grinning and supplying a hard slap to the cheek. MC let her head rest, tilted to the side from how hard he had slapped her.
"No one's coming to save you this time," Saeran whispered through laughs, holding her chin so MC had to face him, "Won't you be a good girl for me?"
MC murmured something under her breath, her gaze traveling to the floor. When asked what she had sad, she just replied with, "I'll be a good girl. ." In a quiet, monotonous voice.
Saeran smiled at that, his thumb gently caressing her cheek. "You made the right choice by saying that, but the wrong choice to even try to come after me. I'll make you obey to my every command, be it jumping off a cliff if I want you too."
MC nodded, and Saeran's smile only grew. "Oh, did I break you already? That took so much less time than what I had anticipated, but this is good. It means you'll be much more willing to comply to my demands. . Right? There is nothing you wouldn't do to see your precious friends again. Saeyoung, Yoosung, Zen, Jaehee, Jumin. You miss them all, don't you? How much would you give to get a chance to see them again? Anything, I bet."
