New Writeblr!

Hi, I’m an aspiring Author! 
My favourite genre is Fantasy, with books such as Six of Crows (my love), An Ember in the Ashes, The Raven Cycle and The Winner’s Curse!

I’m currently working on a YA Fantasy titled Amidst The Stars and will be posting extracts of that as well as my novel The Court’s Champion!

Character Aesthetic: Jack Volkov  (ATS)

A thief, a smuggler, a monster, Jack has been called everything. A parallel world jumping ‘Traveller’ who can’t control his jumping between universes, he sets out on a revenge mission to avenge the slaughter of his bloodline.

He’s a genius, relentless, and worryingly calm under stress and always scheming a way to get enough money to pay off his ever-growing debt and travel the worlds. He desperately tries to protect anyone who gets close to him, but manages to destroy almost every relationship by overthinking and overanalysing every single detail. Believes the best way to get rid of a problem he can’t solve is just to ignore it and run away. 

Until he meets Lyra; the problem he can’t run from.

A snippet from my Fantasy novel Amidst The Stars!

Progress today has been some Lyra chapters and since I wanted to continue this posting streak her’s a little passage about her. A little more action but still not much about the story being revealed ;)

Character Aesthetic: Wilder Gould  (ATS)

A forgotten prince, a soldier with a heart of gold, a boy who will never live up to his appearance. 

Wilder Gould, son of the King of Arida, has never been good enough for his father. Never enough of a ‘man’ to be a prince, never enough of a monster to be a soldier, Wilder struggles to fit in. 

All Wilder’s ever wished for to be safe, and most importantly, to be loved. 

Struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and self-image, Wilder truly believes that the corruption and immorality he is surrounded by is the norm and he’ll die before he ever manages to escape. But finally on the run, terrified, and constantly reminded of his father everywhere he goes, Wilder’s journey has only just begun.

Jack smiled, flipping a bronze coin over his knuckles in a swift motion. “Never place a coin in the hand of a thief.”

He threw it up in the air and Kit snatched it. “Or in the hands of a gambler.” 

“Learnt that the hard way, didn’t you Kit?”

Lyra raised her eyebrow at him. 

“Long story,” he said. “Very long story.”

Character Aesthetic: Lyra (ATS)

Lyra is the novel’s MC, a misfit, fighter of justice surrounded by corruption who’s struggled to fight her way up the food chain. She’s 5′0″, hot-headed, stubborn and a little reckless. Always ready for a fight even when it’s obvious she won’t come out on top. 

When the princess of Isrya (a middle-eastern inspired kingdom) gets kidnapped, and a hefty reward is offered by the King and Queen to whoever can bring her home alive, Lyra knows she has to be faster, and smarter than everyone else. Soon, all the criminals of Isrya are trying their luck to win an unthinkable amount of money, and it becomes a deadly race to who can find her first; and keep her long enough to deliver her safely.
