Cortex is a bit unhinged due to multiple reasons. Like being related to mayor in the first place. His personality is more a creeper who is actually a genius but you'd have no idea because just like fake mayor and Syntax he doesn't have the communication skills. However he was born with fake mayor's power boost. Thus is very powerful.
Me and my friend @pyggy-baby talked about him actually being LBD's favorite because he is such a clean slate for her as an infant.

It was a Tuesday afternoon when Huntsman pulled the Queen aside to tell her the news. She was happy he found someone he loved and all but she was mad she couldn't takeover the world.
When he came to visit and she automatically sense something was off. Like he was glowing somewhat.
"I have some exciting news" Huntsman said as he was somewhat jumping in place. The queen raised a brow curious what had him so excited.
"I'm listening what is it Huntsman" She said as she crossed her arms.
"I'm pregnant" Huntsman said excitedly as the queen gasp and covered her mouth in a happy surprise.
"congratulations my dear!" Queen said a smile," have you told him yet? Do you know how far you are?"
"about 8 weeks and no I'm planning to tell him on his birthday. I believe it be a great surprise" Huntsman said joyfully. It was nice to see one of her subjects so happy," you're actually the first person I've told my Queen."
"Thank you for giving me that honor Huntsman. I'm happy to hear about a future subject" She said as she gave him a hug. It was a real honor to know she was the first person he'd told. She was sure his partner love the surprise.

The months seemed to fly by as the queen sat in her stooper. What was she to do really all she had was her subjects and no kingdom thanks to that bloody treaty she'd made with the monkey kid after he'd saved her from the lady bone demon.
As she sat there in her room she received a call from Sandy. Which caught her attention, was it about her subject or a simple hello? He did that sometimes, he'd call to check and sometimes send pictures of his felines. Weird man her subject had chosen to love indeed.
"Hello Sandy what I owe the pleasure?"The Queen asked as she answered the phone and checked her nails.
"Hello! Huntsman wanted me to inform you our baby girl will be with us soon!" The man said cheerfully as he turned to Huntsy who's back he was rubbing," I will try to keep you updated when I can!"
"Oh why thank you Sandy, tell Huntsman I wish him good luck." The spider Queen said as she got up and checked her calendar. The little one was early. She wasn't supposed to be arrive for three more weeks," thank you for informing me. I am sure you have other people to inform."
"I do, and I will let him know. I'll call you later with updates. Have a good day!" The jolly man said before he hung up. Oh dear, hopefully they'd both be alright. She'd have to change her schedule so she could finish the little one's blanket and reschedule their blessing ceremony. Syntax's ceremony hadn't been the best, Goliath had injured him on accident so certain things had been put in place for no repeats.
It wasn't every day she got a new subject after all. The others also had to be alerted. Oh dear she had much to do.
She found herself pacing afterwards as she'd had everything done. It had been hours was Huntsman and the child alright? Had there been complications? She didn't know and it worried her.
She soon received a ding to her phone and discovered she'd receive a photo from Sandy.
Oh my goodness, the little girl was adorable. Even though she clearly took more after Sandy than her Baba. Also a big baby girl at that, a whole ten pounds from what the text read. Thankfully Huntsman was alright though clearly exhausted from what she could see in the photo.
Hopefully the twos next child wouldn't leave him as strained. She couldn't have Huntsman get to exhausted now could she?

"Here you go my queen, this is little Crystal." Huntsman said as he handed the babe to her. The baby gurgled and looked up at her with those beautiful green eyes and her heart absolutely melted. Such a gorgeous little lady laid in her arms.

She'd never admit it but she absolutely whole heartedly loved this little child. She couldn't wait to see how the little one grow.

Crystals relationship with the queen is that the queen is an annoying grandma or great aunt. This is because by the age 6 she had abducted Crystal at least 45 times and Crystal was able to rescue herself.
a couple times Sandy and huntsman just let her do it because it was very easy to get crystal back. One time Huntsman paid her because she was basically babysitting

Sandy cradled Huntsman in his arms as he ran out of the cave to get the demon needed medical treatment. He had faith his friends get their child back. He ran as quickly as he could to a nearby hospital where Huntsman was rushed off to surgery.
Sandy was left in the waiting room to sit and wait. He sat by himself wondering so many things, would huntsy make it? Was their baby healthy? He didn't know.
The little baby wanted her mama and this lady wasn't them. They didn't feel like mama, and they didn't sound like mama. Where was Mama? The little one though as she cried.
This person wasn't mama and she couldn't hear her mama any more. She didn't know what was going on! She wanted her mama! He was warm and safe! Why she have to be out here away from him?
She continued to cry as all the not mama people were yelling. Being held up high in the air suddenly didn't help either.
She sucked in air decided to take some action. She screamed as loud as her little lungs let her and flailed on the woman's arm.
Probably worse way to find out you were right about the infant you kidnapped being a powerhouse by said baby breaking your arm with her flailing.
The little one fell for a few seconds before she was caught by another not mama person! She failed. She continued to cry as whoever had her know tried to calm her down.
"shhh shhh we'll get you to your baba and daddy sweetheart." The nice not mama person said as they held her close. Was Mama Baba? Maybe they were saying Mama wrong.
The little one had no sense of time as she carried out of the dark place to a light place. She had quieted down but still wanted her mama.
"We got her Sandy! You won't believe it she broke the spider queen's arm!" The not mama person said as the little baby recognized that name! Mama talked about Sandy a lot. He was dada! Surely he'd take her to Mama!
She started to cry again as she reached to Sandy who carefully took her from the not mama person. She looked up at him to the best of her ability. He was a big blue blur but he was safe. Mama said he was.
Mama always said he was coming to save them. He held her up his face and kissed her forehead. A wave of safety and love waved over her. She was finally with someone who was very close to her mama.
"you are so precious and beautiful my baby girl" Sandy said with tears falling down his cheeks. She was so precious and he just, he just was happy she was now safe. He instantly loved her," daddy is here. Daddy's got you my love"
Sandy kissed her forehead repeatedly as he waited for word on Huntsman. The nurses just didn't have the heart to take her from him after seeing Huntsman earlier. His friends sat with him and waited as well.
"Sandy?" A nurse said cheerfully as she walked into the waiting room," Your partner is doing just great. The surgery was a success. You can come see them now if you want."
Sandy go up and followed the woman.

Huntsman came to with a small weight on his chest. He looked down to see it was her! His darling baby girl fast asleep and content.
"What did you want to name her Huntsy?" Sandy asked softly as Huntsman looked over to see him. They were both in happy tears as Sandy leaned down and gave her a kiss.
"Well I was thinking about Crystal. I thought it was a nice name though it's not very traditional" Huntsman said as he wrapped his arms around their baby girl and rubbed her back.
"I love it. She's a shining Crystal of love" Sandy said as he kissed Huntsman's forehead.

The Spider Queen looked down at the little babe. It sickened her that this little one existed. A half spider should only be made by her, the Queen! Yet here laid a little half ling.
"what shall I do with you my little disgrace?" The queen asked as she picked up the baby. Crystal was only a few days old, she was a tiny thing as well. The Queen looked her over as she started to tear up,"oh don't you cry disgrace I am your queen!"
The poor baby start to absolutely wail, screaming as loud as her little lungs could. Which was surprisingly much much louder than the Spider Queen ever thought possible.
Then there was the rumbling. It certainly wasn't from the child. She was only crying. The ground was shaking as the Queen turned to look behind her. The first thing she saw was the hulking figure that was Sandy. The weakened huntsman hanging over his shoulder with arms out.
"I WANT OUR BABY BACK"Sandy said sending shivers down the queen back. What the FUCK wasn't he the marshmallow of the group? The queen deciding her life was more important than vengeance as she hand the baby to huntsman.
"shhh it's ok sweetheart you're safe now" Huntsy said as he calmed down the little babe. Sandy turned and walked out.

Crystal stared at howler as the little baby slept. He was quite the sleeper compared to crystal. This playdate hadn't been much fun.
Howler was so little and sleepy that there wasn't much Crystal could do. She didn't want to wake him up if he was that sleepy. So she got her blanket on put it on him while the adults discussed things in the other room.
" and yeah Syntax wants another little one when Howler is two. Something about proper sibling development" Macaque said as he sipped on his drink," I'd rather just go with the flow you know?"
" understandable" Huntsman said as he took a bite of his sandwich. Crystal just sat there listening to the grownups conversation.
"you and the giant marshmallow thinking about a second?" Macaque asked he put his cup down.
"well... It's more of me waiting to tell him."
"oh my gods congratulations! He's going to love it!" Macaque said cheerfully," at least this time you won't have to go into basically hiding."
"Yes, way less stress than when I was expecting Crystal" Huntsman chuckled before finishing his sandwich. Stress? Why was baba stressed before she was born? What happened?
"yeah I swear nearly lost my fucking mind with the Queen. She was always on my back. I nearly mauled her"Mac chuckled," lucky for her I was on bed rest due to the nausea."
" I was a bit surprised Syntax didn't move you until your third trimester. Thought he'd moved you back when your bed rest started"
"man forgot to get a proper den until I had passed out on the way to the closet bathroom. Next day boom we have our current apartment." Macaque said as he finished his cup of tea," though Howler was still early. That was a nightmare. Two weeks in to living at the apartment I wake up with contractions very close together and Syntax isn't even home yet."
"oh sweet mercy of the queen that must have been a nightmare. If Sandy had been there for Crystal's birth I wouldn't have been able to handle the C-section." Huntsman said as he grabbed another sandwich.
"oh once he let me speak after scolding me for not being sleep. All I had to say was labor and he booked it. I was fighting instinct to find a warm place to hide and have our baby because I was like no no no this cub is early and Syntax has to take me to the ER. As you know we never made it to the ER. Howler was basically born in Syntax's hands because I couldn't even get to our living room."
"oh yes I remember that call. You needed a blood transfusion right?"
"oh yeah I did and Wukong was pissed I wasn't in the hospital before I went into labor. Like he tore into Syntax."
Crystal just sat in the doorway not understanding anything they were talking about. She was barely three.
Now I'm imagining teen Crystal going "Don't even think about it." to Spider Queen, considering the other times she's tried to kidnap her.
"I am not in the mood to deal with you" Crystal mumbled softly from her pillow as she grabbed the queen's arm stopping it mid grab," please leave I'll humor you later. I have a really bad migraine."
The Queen gasped as the girl talked, how disrespectful- wait what about a migraine? The Queen stood there silently. Aw, her poor subject was unwell. Maybe she should come back another time.
She quietly crawled out the window as crystal sighed. If only it was that easy to befriend the woman. At least she could continue her nap in darkness.
