Siblings reunite after a thousand years.
Here he is!
Meet Shui Qián, the adopted father of Macaque.
Shui Qián (literally translates to River Monkey) was a lone warrior traveling through ancient China, never looking for a greater purpose, yet longing for affection. He met Mei-Ying after an intense battle against a tigger demon, she took him into her home, nursed him back to health, and gave him a place to stay. Being entranced by the human woman, Shui decided to try his hand at courting her, but he didn't have to try.
For the next three years, Shui & Mei-Ying were the Village's odd ball couple, but that didn't matter to either of them. Mei-Ying had brought out a new side to the river demon he didn't think he had, and he loved every moment of it, and her. Then one night, his life changed again when his wife brought in a white furred demon monkey who was born with six ears.

The moment he held the little shadow demon for the first time, he fell in love instantly. From then on, Shui devoted his life to his wife and adopted son, whom he & Mei-Ying name Liu Er Mihou, giving them the best of him. His lack of knowledge of Shadow Demons did not deter him from bonding with his son, and teaching him how to control the power the little Monkey had.

When Lanfen was born, life was great. He felt as if this was his purpose; to find and give love.

Until the demon clan who attacked the village took all of it away, leaving Mihou and Lanfen orphaned and alone.
Shui Qián was pronounced dead/missing in action. Despite Macaque's best efforts, he was never able to find out what happened to his mother's killer, and his father....

#4 won. Unfortunately I didn't have enough patience to color anything but everyone's eyes, so you'll have to wait for the colored version until Wednesday.
