The Great Britain VII by Paul King Via Flickr: LMS Princess Coronation Class 6233 Duchess of Sutherland with the final leg of the `Great Britain VII` rail tour which started 9 days ago at London Victoria and took in places like Bristol, Carnforth, Edinburgh, Inverness, York and back to Kings Cross London. Here the Duchess is pounding the Fast Up to London at Lolham

And finally to end off this collection of images, we have the N gauge James Street, another massive model railway which was supposed to represent some busy cityscape in the 1960's, and some apsolutely massive (Gauge 1?) models, including a local engine from my home shed. Push pull fitted too! If only I had somewhere to put it...

Also included are :

• A Manchester PTE Pacer and a Merseyrail class 150, the latter showing off perhaps one of the best modern liveries period. Totally not biased at all.

• Another substantially smaller O gauge layout based in Scotland in the early days of BR.

• And finally some sweet looking grimy Lancashire motive power in BR colours.

Funnily enough they Tallylyn Railway also had a stand there! So there I was fresh back after less than a month, and I was right back chatting with a TR volunteer. I'd say it's a small world, but tbf its a model railway exhibition so that's tempting fate.
