It's still there, just on a dead archive blog if you want to have a look. @talesofthenrmAnd I still occasionally do stuff for it when I have the time, but over on Twitter now. Usernames the same on there.
Whew! Again, sorry for being so dead here recently! Life has been hectic recently. I've been busy working my two jobs, volunteering, and doing applications and interviews. The good news is that I got a phone call yesterday, and I've been offered a place on Network Rail's apprenticeship scheme! I'm well chuffed and can't wait to get started in September!
As for here, I'll try and sit down and get things in the queue next week when I have a few days off. Hope everyone's well!

May as well post some more of my own photography as it’s easier to do on mobile. Here’s Duchess of Sutherland in the rain during her visit to Tyseley Loco Works. This was the weekend where I joined 71000’s support crew, and it’s been a hell of a ride since then!
Just wanting to say, you have an awesome railfan blog! Sure I'm a big fan of American steamers (grown up not far from some) but I've always admired British and European steam! Thank you for a blog exclusively dedicated to it, a definite follow!

Thought I should post this here in case anyone is interested in happenings with No. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' which I am part of the support crew for, and hasn't seen this yet. Article follows:
Vintage Trains & BR Class 8 Steam Locomotive Trust are pleased to announce that a ten-year arrangement has been agreed between the two parties. The Trust, which controls 71000 “Duke of Gloucester” has agreed with Vintage Trains that once the current overhaul is complete, “The Duke” will be based and maintained at Tyseley for the duration of its 10-year ticket. Vintage Trains Limited and its newly formed Train Operating Company will be the primary operator and promoter of railtours for “The Duke” throughout the period, with the Loco making appearances at Tyseley Open Days and on Shakespeare Expresses. It is intended for the “The Duke” to also appear at mainline connected Heritage Railway Galas and open days.

Now that's all out of the way, I have also queued a few of my own photos from the last month or so, so there'll be something on this blog for the next week. Hopefully by then I'll have had a day off to go searching on flickr for some other wonderful photos from the railway photography community!
Apologies for the lack of things in the queue right now. I'm starting a second job soon which means I'll be working pretty much every day for the rest of April as I'm rota'd in for lots of shifts at my current job, so I won't have much time to refill it unfortunately. I will try and get to it when I can. :)
