Don't talk to me unless you've read The Lonely Ones
Only a special kind of tormented child is allowed into Nowhere, we were not certain yet of what this meant, but after reading the Lonely Ones and the Sounds of Nightmares its all clear now, all the kids within Nowhere have one thing in common...their lonely.
The lonely children are easier for the Nowhere(a giant red eye) and all other extensions of itself(the other eyes circling around it) to corrupt the more those children realize the reality of their lonely tormented lives, and should they seek an escape, the Nowhere offers them one. And yet it would appear as though parts of the Nowhere are not immune to such loneliness, the Mall in the sounds of nightmares begged Noone to stay within it, it did not want to be alone, but perhaps it was precisely that sense of loneliness that made it seem weak to the Nowhere and unfit to keep a child, because as we have seen with the Maw and the Tower, the living structures require a child to take on the role as its caretaker, ensuring it is fed and the system which keeps the Nowhere alive is maintained.
Above all, we have always theorized the eyes hate it when a child finds companionship with other children while trapped within the Nowhere, and of course it would, because so long as the children learn to rely on one another, their loneliness is eased, making it difficult for the eyes to take them.
In tears (/pos) because of the Lonely Ones

In The Lonely Ones, its said Feast and Mim are from a different time period, based on their descriptions, behavior and actions, many concluded Mim comes from the medieval era, a time when hygiene and electricity was not yet properly harnessed and the plague took many lives.
For Feast, many of us concluded he came from a time when child labor was still active in many factories, a time when electricity was present but the children had to adapt to working with little to no light at all and were severely malnourished.
In The Lonely Ones Ruse talks about seeing the flesh eyes and an empty void in the shattered walls of the Performer's room. We know the eyes who take on the form of living structures can create their own environments, but we theorized when their weakened enough through special means, their hold on their specially crafted reality can come crumbling down, and what is left to see is the empty space they all reside in, the Threshold. We saw Mono there before too when the Tower lost its grip on its environment.
One of the most shocking parts of The Lonely Ones was Ruse finding Low's mask! But what does this mean? If the novel is set before Low's journey, then does this means Low has been to the Carnevale before?...or is something going to happen to Low and Alone in LN3?
