Thursday 23rd August
So much is happening!
I'm interrail planning with Sam.
I'm talking to Hannah about when she and Davies arrive (in two weeks!) and I can show them Sydney.
I booked a ticket for Soundwave.
Only a couple months until I'm with the fam in Cairns.
Only a couple months plus another week until the fam are in Sydney and we can see the city together!
Research in schools starts soon.
This weekend is USyd Open Day (I'm going for giggles and free tours).
This weekend is also sleepout time.
I've discovered I love watching massage videos as a form of relaxation.
I had the most wonderful Skype date last night and subsequently have felt happy all day.
It's almost Charlotte's birthday and I really hope Aussie post have been quicker this time than they have been with Elliott's postcard.
I have befriended a French man.
The last one probably isn't that important, but is has happened. I also keep getting friend requests from Turkish/Pakistani/Arab men who tell me they 'like my photo'. I'm flattered but I'm not learning half a billion different languages just so I can understand the wedding vows. That's not racist.
Today was also good because I met up with Irene and we wandered around Railway Square (the Mexican place we wanted churros from had a powercut) and had a catch up which was really nice. We're climbing Harbour Bridge together when it's a little warmer!
There has also been crazy wind and rain today, I got totally soaked on the way home and a guy who works with my supervisor had his car totalled by a tree branch which didn't sound fun. Fortunately it was also 27 degrees so I wasn't too fussed by the weather, I just spent the walk home hoping that nothing was going to fall on me. Stupid hills fig trees and their flailing.
Now, however, I hear the wild call of the shower and my bed in the distance. I must go to them, for otherwise they may get restless and start chewing on the furniture.
I think I'm a little more tired than I'd like to admit.

I need to go to bed, and since nobody is talking to me..now seems like the perfect chance!
Goodnight!
