Nyx’s 1st debut within Hades’ mindscape in Lore Olympus: Episode 77

October 29th - NYX

Out of the Primordial Gods, she chose not to complicate herself like Gaia that has many descendants. One offspring between her and Erebus, showed great promise by helping Earth cultivate itself for its future mortal inhabitants. Her name was Hemera, the primordial goddess of the day that in time married an equal named Aether, the primordial god of light and heavenly ether “son-in-law”. I wanted to see Hemera, Aether, and Erebus in Lore Olympus which will take time and is going to be worth the wait.

She was feared by many for her power, including Cronus and his son Zeus. Although Hades seems to be calm around her presence, since he has so much darkness inside him that it was natural of him to be keeping composure. THYNOVEL did stated that Nyx was jealous of Rhea after Hades was born and found him quite adorable when he was full of worries for a kid. Nyx may have even decided to create her ideal child since she was strong enough to do so, by birthing Thanatos & Hypnos with similar facial structures and style as Hades. I didn’t notice this because of how Thanatos’ personality differs from Hades, that explains Minthe’s type of man, in some degree.

To see more of her interactions to not just Hades, but at least Thanatos since he appears often in the story than his siblings so far. Now I’m invested to know Thanatos’ dynamic with the rest of his family and may shed in let on why he’s the way he is in the first place. Knowing more about Thanatos may be quite interesting when it comes living with a big family, but gives the readers a choice on sympathizing or have such hatred towards this character.

Can’t wait to see what Rachel Smythe has in store for Nyx and the rest of her family.
