Role AIM Control’s Port Capt. / Loading Master: • Management position responsible to ensure vessels, operated and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, standards, and customer expectations. • Implements standard procedures and guidelines for the operation of a safe and environmentally. • Ensures all vessels comply with regulatory training requirements. Investigated vessel damage, product spills, and personal injuries. • Ensures all appropriate authorized are notified and that proper documentation is completed accurately. • Supervise licensed and unlicensed personnel. • Inspects vessels and her loading / unloading to ensure seaworthy condition. • Arranges for maintenance and repair activities to correct any deficiencies. Arranges for coordination of assist tugs, pilots and crew care as necessary. • Provide technical expertise for specialized jobs in the field. • Broadly communicate daily schedule of vessels loading or discharging in the Ports. • Investigate and manage marine incidents involving marine operations • Manage inspection service providers including: training in safe product handling guidelines, quantity and quality testing protocols, periodic operational review meetings, tracking of non-conformances and issues resolution • Ensure product quality and quantity during marine operations • Identify potential impact of significant weather conditions, assist in business continuity planning team. • Attend loading or discharging operational key meetings in person, as appropriate, based on risk, business criticality or other established criteria • Utilize knowledge of contractual marine provisions to facilitate optimal prioritization of planning and expediting activities • Analyze loading/unloading performance, provide recommendations for optimization opportunities and process improvements • Establish and maintain key relationships with marine terminals, port representatives and agencies • Maintain controlled documents related to inspection services, product quality, and marine operations, both barge and vessel. • Inspection of vessels during port calls to ensure regulatory, Class, and Company compliance and seaworthy condition. • Carefully monitor the status of materials and equipment for the fleet and warehouse. Qualifications Experience AIM Control’s Port Capt. and Loading Master: Minimum of 20 years as a sailing officer aboard vessels with all of type cargos.
