people want to read his attention toward her as lecherous because he's old and assumed to be insincere, when he's just doing that thing that psychopaths do to people they like and mimic them He's just mimicking her (And since she's a reflection of him, he's mimicking a reflection of himself which is why he's “in love” with her)
Why was it more appropriate to ship Revenant with Loba before she decided not to kill him? It wasn’t just because she started dating Kairi. Like if Loba had done what he wanted, there was a fandom agreed romance to it. Which is strange as fuck to me, not because I didn’t see it too... But when she made the decision not to kill him, to instead keep him miserable, everyone decided it wasn’t romantic anymore. Which annoys me because the moment she asserts her agency, everyone drops the ship and calls her toxic and him creepy... When in fact her doing what she wanted was her taking charge of said relationship.
If anything, Loba not killing Revenant cements the fact that she’s dedicated herself to her revenge (and by extension, him). Kairi even rightfully feels jealous of this dynamic because like Revenant even said to her “I’m not just the third wheel... I’m her priority, aren’t I?” (Tho Kairi is a different rant onto herself) So again, Kairi’s jealousy and their poor relationship communication skills aside, why is Loba asserting that she wants him a problem? It kind of feels like folks wanted Loba to be a damsel in her own narrative and when she reminded everyone that she writes her own fairy tale, they never forgave her for it.

Although I ship LobaLore, LobaCat, CatRev and Revhound, I also ship LobaRev/RevLoba for catharsis reasons. I beg you to leave me be about it.

I get the feeling that since there isn’t a text cap here, I will be eventually expected to go on some long rant about my trauma to justify why I ship Loba and Revenant. I don’t need to though. I don’t need to justify what happened to me to make it make sense to you, only for you to not understand because you didn’t experience it. Outside of what I’ve already listed in my pinned post, all you need to know is that strive to write to my own experience and mine alone. If you enjoy what I write, great.
