What kind of body mods are 1.) common and 2.) generally frowned upon
• The most common bodily modifications among Cantins in general are backwing removals and earlobe removal. Loboflies in particular practice lobe removal in excess, to make it easier to have their ears tucked under a hood. Modern Cantins (not Dayflies) will get small ear and backwing piercings on rare occasion, but most avoid this for sensory reasons; The size and length of their wings make piercings feel like weights pulling down on them.
• Many Dayflies look down upon any type of wing removal, even when doing so would improve quality of life and fitness. Wings are not just a form of identification between eachother, but an object of beauty and sometimes obsession to them.
