you havent heard this discourse yet cause its not new discourse, its just a resurgence of stuff from a year ago. p g p (i dont really want to say the full url cause im a weenie and dont want to call the hounds down on myself) is a fairly well known artist who made some post-homestuck fankids that got super popular. they also had a nsfw side blog, where they occasionally drew those OCs as adults. then they made a very intense, very dark comic exploring consent and abuse and dysfunctional relationships and how sometimes it isn’t so clear-cut who’s the abuser and who’s the victim. This comic was still on the nsfw sideblog, clearly tagged, and with multiple posts explaining the intent behind it.

Now, this content was extremely dark and obviously not for everyone, which is why the artist made it so difficult to just stumble into. BUT tumblr did that thing it always does, and decided “if this thing isn’t good for me, its clearly evilbadwrong and the people Responsible must be brought to Justice.” The artist was pretty quickly embroiled in harassment and death threats, stopped drawing the comic, got rid of the sideblog, and abandoned the OCs altogether. and now, OVER A YEAR LATER, people are still trying to smear them for their heinous crime against humanity.

i don’t want to say much more on the topic because i don’t know this artist personally and i don’t want to overstep my bounds, but yea i guess if any of y’all want to hate me forever for my position on this, heres your chance to unfollow.
