HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANYA DEGURECHAFF

This piece took me two weeks, but I've got her whole shovel monologue stitched out.

This was a really fun piece! I made the whole pattern myself and will be posting it in a few days as there were a few things I was unsatisfied with during the stitching, so I'm going to fix it first.

The fabric affects were all done with watercolor which turned out really well!

The most difficult part was 100% her name since the Empires language is a little too busy to come out clean in stitch. Still love it tho

June 17th - Historical

Admittedly this is only loosely historical but whatever lol. During the Sakoku period the Dutch were some of the only foreigners allowed in Japan, and the two countries engaged in trade extensively. I can imagine that these two probably smonked some schtuff together during trade-related visits... Realistically these two wouldn’t be able to see each other often, given the distance between them and that Ned would probably not be allowed to stay for very long (since he’s only supposed to be there for commerce and such). The few times these two got to see eachother were probably really important for the both of them. I see Nedpan as a “chill together” type of couple, where they’re perfectly content with each other’s company in a mundane sort of setting. They just want to be together in a calm place, y’know?  

I’m not a great artist but I’m trying to improve, and with the rarepair week coming up I can contribute something to the church of Nedpan. Bless.

FMABRUARY day 13: soul

It took a while to decide if i wanted to do armor or soul for Als blood seal but i thought this was more appropriate

I used a thread with a red gradient and i absolutely love how it turned out. Makes it more blood like.

Like last time this is a pattern of my own design and will be under the cut

I used IRIS 809 for the red gradient but if you dont want to i would recommend DMC 666 for a bright red OR DMC 816 for a nice dark red

14ct AIDA Grey fabric

This one took me around five to six hours to stitch all together over a few days. It's around two inches both ways and designed for a 4 inch hoop.

FMABRUARY day 19: Burn

Was there anything else i could do for this one? nope.

I loved everything about this one, the design took my like 3 hours to make then even longer for the actual stitching but it turned out SO GOOD

and yeah i did the Mustang rap on the edges

you might have noticed that the salamander is missing from the design and thats because i free-handed it. there isnt really anyway to draw it on my pattern creator so i didn't even try. If you're making the pattern and have any questions about that part go ahead and dm and I'll explain the process.

The design is about 2 inches both ways and designed for a 4 inch hoop

IT'S FMABRUARY

Day 8: Homunculus

Now I only decided to participate on the 4th so i had to rush, both to make the pattern, and get the actual stitching and custom hoop done in time.

I really enjoyed it tho and will be doing a few more prompts in cross stitch for the month :)

I'm going to be sharing the pattern I made below the cut if anyone wants to make it as well.

14ct AIDA black

Double thread for crosses, single thread for back stitch.

I made this with a 4 inch hoop in mind so it is rather small (only about 2 1/2 inches both ways), should only take a hour or two depending on skill level.

I would like to say it's beginner friendly, those 3/4 are put in cause I like doing them, and can easily just be treated as regular stitches instead.

If anyone does make this pattern plz tag me! I would love to see :)

FMABRUARY day 16: family

I think one of my favorite reveals in fma is that the flamel Ed and Al wear isn't just a random alchemy thing, and instead a sign of their teacher.

This was my first time dying fabric and i had a blast! it's a really fun, if time consuming project.

Pattern below cut :3

DMC 310 for all of it

14ct AIDA

Unless you're buying from a actual cross stitch store you won't get AIDA in this color, so i just took regular white AIDA and dyed it with RIT dye. It tuned out prefect with just the red and so no need to add anything else.

Project is about 1inch width 2inch height. made for a 4inch hoop. about an hour and a half to make.

Ajin Week Day 7: Anything Goes (Olympics)

I'm going to be honest. I only did it cause it's funny to me that the original shooter got silver and Kei got 2nd place in that low empathy swag tournament.

Poor boy is condemned to second place forever
