Video looking at the great 1934 Teamsters Strikes in Minneapolis to explore the importance of union contracts for workers conditions and how workers rights have been won in struggle by workers and their unions. Between 1934 and 1941 Teamsters Local 574 which lead these strikes were lead by Trostkyists. There are some historical inaccuracies in the video, Local 574 existed prior to 1934 but was tiny. An important transformation that was started by this organisating drive was shifting the Teamsters from craft to industrial unionism.
