Before this I wanna say they are part of a like reform program type thing basically a way ta get kids off the streets before the league of villains can get them (a little too late on angel lmao)
Ciro bell (guardian) 16 he/it
His quirk allows him ta make a shield around an area that is damn near unable ta break tho the bigger the shield the weaker it is
He comes from a loving family however his dad left when ciro was 4 because of bad mental health and he didn't want his son seeing him that way at 10 Ciro had ta see his mom get fatally wounded by a villain and she died
He then ends up on the streets
He is super ultra mega gay (he develops a crush on aoyama) and a demiboy
Lilly veyloria (angel) her nickname is lily pad 16 she/her
Her quirks (yes 2 this gets explained) allows her ta make illusions and solidify them if needed (only if she knows what it looks like this makes drawing her favorite hobby)
and she is able ta get inta people's minds she can not alter anything or make them do anything but if the person dose not fight her or doesn't fight her well enough she can see everything about them thoughts feelings past anything she wants
Her mother died having her so was stuck with her dad (an alcoholic that really did try his best) but he was arrested when she was 5 she ended up on the streets until 8 when all for one found her and gave her the second quirk has a gift (trying ta get her ta join him) she doesn't like him and runs for her fucking life
At 10 she comes across a villain hurting a lady and tries ta stop it and fails (this is where her nose scar comes from) this leads ta her and Ciro meeting he ends up staying with her and teaches her ta read write and speak somewhat good
She is a asexual she's dyslexic and far sighted hence the glasses
Lily absolutely hates the reform program as she sees it as being taken from her home nor does she trust the hero's but she does see it as an opportunity ta wear the girly stuff she's always wanted ta
Ciro doesn't really care so long as he's able ta watch lily

So sometimes keepers disappear sometimes when they do they go inta a story most don't most just......go poof
Many a keeper have lost partners and friends creatures they've been with for thousands of years
One day they're here and the next they are gone
The only instants in the story that get talked about are clera and Mitch keepers if wisdom and knowledge respectively
They were loved by all made everything bright knox fell for clera and the day he got the courage ta tell them they were gone Mitch was gone the next day
Some people say Mitch went inta a book but noctornine won't say
Knox decided he wasn't going ta love again it doesn't work out death loves company after all
Thats why it's so important that arttic and noctornine keep copies of the books ya never know when someone will disappear your best friend may not stay for long
The only original keepers left are φρίκη and Boris
φρίκη and Knox are the only ones that haven't given their books up
Knox because he doesn't want it read at all and knows at least arttic will read it ta catalog it correctly φρίκη because it simply doesn't see the need it has a copy that copy just happens ta stay with it

Tw for mentions of suicide rape self harm and an issue with food that's not labeled an ed but saying so in case child neglect abuse starvation homophobia drugs under age consentual sex religion I think that's all that needs a tw tell me if I need anymore

Nothing is very detailed and won't be till I write the story
Koen goldswallow is your average gifted kid turned burnt out "lazy brat" (as his mom would say). He was a prodigy at 6 he could play almost every piece Mozart and Beethoven made
He was top of every class he was perfect never stepped out of line. The rich kid people hated but would befriend for an ounce of that money and spotlight by 12 he could play piano, viola, the harp, and the flute damn near perfectly
His parents showed him with love and praise it was a perfect family
Till high school koen didn't like band hated it his mom said it was the best elective for him and he wasn't about ta disobey
He learned then that love had conditions if he was the best they would love him nothing was enough though they always wanted more
Friends were a distraction fun was a distraction. He studied and practiced and studied and practiced day in and day out he was cold and rude because that's how his parents acted toward distractions
He made his first attempt in the school bathroom 2nd year with 1 to many bottles of pain meds he took from his father I didn't work his mom chewed him out for hurting the family name for hurting her reputation. She didn't say it but he know she was mad he wasn't her little trophy anymore
He had 2 more attempts before that same year before his mom transferred him to kealin high in third year where he meets willow
Seren klein was a disgrace named a murderer by his father before he was able ta cry
His mom died that night it was either her or him and she refused ta loose her baby his father never accepted that
He was a priest a holy man.... He was far from holy he was drunk ever weekend he was violent
Never toward ash serens older brother ash was the perfect Christian boy he was smart and put together never said a bad thing ever always the kindest brightest in the room like the sun
Seren was a dying star he didn't cry not when he was beat inta the ground not when he was laughed at not when first cut himself or when his dad made him go without food because he "looked like he ate enough"
He took it because he believed every word his father said ash tried ta help but he didn't know what ta do he loved his dad knew he could be better
Things got worse at 10 when his father found out he kissed a boy he wasn't given food for a week. Longer if he stopped praying
He was 12 when his father introduced him ta a new priest seren didn't like him he was tall and pale with brown eyes that looked like pools of ink seren thought he looked like a monster
Ash told him that wasn't fair he didn't know the guy. Said he was kind and seren could learn from him
He did just not anything a 12 year old should seren learned that his body was akin ta a "porn star" that no one wanted broken dolls
He learned that saying no or stop made it worse that if he shut up and let it happen it wouldn't hurt
Love was a joke ta seren soulmates were stupid and he hated ash he hated his brother so much
He hated that he couldn't truly hate his brother not when he knew ash was holding out for his dad praying for his dad ta come back that whatever demon had him would leave
Seren hated that ash was so stuck on it being a demon that he just let it happen. Seren told him about the priest ash said he'd say something it didn't happen again
Seren had made too many attempts ta count high school was horrible he got into drug and sex joined a band and fucked everyone in it at least once
He met Vesper first year of high school
Vesper made life easier she was the bass guitarist of the band and the closest thing ta a sister he knew she was a good student didn't do drugs didn't fuck anything that moved but she understood seren more then ash seemed ta
Seren and koen are a rollercoaster lmao hold different views of things and when their schools meet they clash a lot especially over the band situation
But they do eventually get together and they fit like a puzzle seren teaches koen ta be selfish sometimes that it's ok ta take up space and be loud that parents aren't always right
Koen teaches seren that he's more than a body that he deserves love that it's not a myth koen teaches seren that he can cope in safer ways

Seren brings the fun back inta music
They finally figure out what resting means they learn ta heal together and seren realizes that while he still doesn't believe in soulmates he does know now why ash was so stuck the idea of a perfect someone
Because they seren found his perfect someone and he knows his mom is proud of him even if he never got ta meat her
Koen stands up for himself with seren by his side and finally tells his parents what he wants
His mom gets angry but eventually realises the hell she put koen through and promises ta get therapy that she will get better because she doesn't want ta lose her baby boy his dad doesn't ever really come around about it but he also doesn't do anything bad
Seren cuts off his dad and ash but ends up calling him later anyway
This maaaay change in like little things but it's the premise this is 2 story's that intertwine out of plenty in my story
Nights like this were the hardest for her. Amelia was out so Mike and Lucy were not there.
She had grown to love them like family. The kids like her were not allowed to have things like toys or decorations. They all had the same grey rooms with bedding that couldn't keep you warm at all.
Mike took pity and with Lucy's help made it a home.
She couldn't sleep that night not when any day Mike would be getting her out of there away from the pain.
It wouldn't last she thought it couldn't it was too good to be true. But she trusted Mike so she would sleep another night
