Number One:
Public Transport Cut Short
By Safiya Choudhry
I just wanted to highlight that one of the biggest problems that have had an effect on London is that trains and buses that take so long to arrive. People are using other methods such as driving or getting a cab such as Uber which has recently risen massively. Company’s such as TFL need to deliver more frequent service as there is a shocking rise in air pollution. The service needs to listen to their customers and become more reliable. The numbers of delays and transport that will just need to be coming more often. Also, they are very busy and some bus driver just have been driving past the station. Their need to be new designs that allow more passager on at one time and more services at different timing instead of 3 of the same buses coming at a time when their not needed.
Furthermore, I think there should be some more fast trains that let people go to a popular station faster such as Bond Street station at peak times. Also their need to be some sort of arrangement that beneficial of days such as when it snows. Their also a problem with how noisy the trains are and there should be something that can prevent the noises such as noise proof trains or free earplugs that comes when purchasing an oyster. Public transport has become very hard to use and expensive which has resulted to cut downs as many people are fed up and are using an alternative route which is harmful to the environment.
Number 2:
Famous Blameless
By Safiya Choudhry
Who could blame anyone that visits London? It has such nice views and location which are very Famous for being built such as the London Eye and Big Ben. I am so lucky as in my area it is less than an hour to get to these fantastic landmarks. Millions of people come on holiday to see these places and we live and see them whenever we like to. We as a community need to appreciate the landmarks and keep them clean and in good condition. Big Ben is under construction showing how we keep it up to date and keep it in the best form we can. The area is very busy and seen by a lot of people many tourists visit the area. I think to have famous landmarks help us as a country have something to be known for and have something to visit and be proud of where we live. London is so beautiful and diverse that it would be a shame if you haven’t seen it. The history behind the building are great and help you understand what the country about such as Buckingham Palace.
Number 3:
Construction suction
By Safiya Choudhry
Everyone has been taken in from these amazing new building being build but are they all amazing as they seem?
I have been living near construction for half my life now and there are benefits but sadly there are more negatives in my eyes. The amount of times I have been woken up by a drill or a construction vehicle is unbelievable. It's just horrible if you're a light sleeper like me. When I’m in a rush and need to take the shortcut I have to go around as their construction in order and I become late for everything. Thirdly walking past you always somehow to get something stuck in your eye. I have had to go to the hospital to get pieces of old building rubbish out of my eyes. I have seen with my own eyes that parks and tree have been destroyed to make flats!
To stop stuff like this happening and keep the benefits such as a better area in the future, we need to have more health and safety regulation and actually tell people what the risks are. This should be noticed at what time the noise is going to begin so that people can change their schedule so they are not woken up in fright. Lastly, there should be some of the path or an alternative easy route that should be sort about before blocking and cutting off the road. Everyone is getting sucked in by building but they don’t see that their better uses for money such as Nhs and should be more about the condition of the building than anything else such as making the highest building.
Number 4:
Chill with the Bill
By Safiya Choudhry
My local area has millions of food and Retail shops. Theirs always something to do and it's easy to do it. Some people have to travel far to just get some breakfast. In my area, we have 24-hour shops such as Tesco that would never leave you hungry. Shops are always having sales and are great to grab your attention and get you to go inside. Shopping is one of my favorite things to do and a great way to relax and have some time to sort out your fashion and think of new recipes. No matter if your a chief or a fashion designer, shopping is for everyone. With the brilliant customer service, you will be pleased at the end of the day if you don’t go overboard. Many shops have boxes which help raise money for charity’s and have fair-trade sticker on stuff such as bananas.
I think shopping is such a great thing to do no matter your age their a clothes or food shop for you and what better than having most of them close by. It's the best feeling after a long day. So if you have a lot of places you can chill by such as shops, having a good time but be careful as the amount your bill comes to might keep you freezing if you are not careful.
