Chattisgarh was then part of "Maha Koshal" Rajya and believed to be "Nanihaal" of Shree Ram, so since then Sua Naach is performed in chattisgarh by local girls who go door to door with a Diya lit and sing and dance giving information of Happiness all over "Koshal Rajya and Nana Ghar" on returning back of Ram Rajya. Important note: Due to Bhagwaan Ram being nephew (Bhanja) of Maha Koshal , here in Chattisgarh still many people avoid "charan sparsh" by nephews and in reverse few are still seen doing charan sparsh and giving special respect to Bhanja (nephew). . .
