Take an old keytag, like the keychain version of a membership card, and paint it over in nail polish, then draw a sigil for security or location finding and attach it to your keyring or other important objects!

Design Hotspot: Design Within Reach

If you live in a large American or Canadian city, there's a fair chance that there might be a Design Within Reach store within your local metropolitan hub. Design Within Reach studios are exceptional in the sense that they provide one of the few remaining places for someone interested in design to browse a healthy range of different wares from different makes and designers. Even more pleasantly surprising is the fact that the studios will allow anybody to come in their store and simply fall back on a $13,000 chair or fiddle with an $800 lamp. They are open, tangible locations, where everybody is welcome to experience holistic design without the restraints of a glass cage, 'Do Not Tough' sign, or pixelated computer screen. And if there isn't a DWR studio/storefront within your vicinity, a classy website peddles an even broader range of wares. DWR sells everthing from clocks to desk chairs, sheepskin throws to carpets, and mattresses(?) to ottomans. Many of the pricetags may be above what you may expect, but it's normal for design stores to follow through with premium prices on their products. And while many items today are hapless examples of Veblen goods (search that up on Wikipedia ;) ) the products that DWR carries are, for the most part, truly innovative yet secure in their design identities. While I have yet to purchase anything from this store, I recommend that you visit one of their studios. It's a thoroughly relaxing, authentic store, and you may be pleased with the moderate collection of items available on display.
