Greetings from Lochness
Request 3: Loch Ness
I really hate singular beings but this one is such a hit and is also a sweetheart. Nessie was first spotted in Loch Ness in the year 565 AD after eating a local farmer. Nessie is a very large aquatic creature that people have compared to an ancient being of old. also known as a dinosour. Nessie hit it big in the mid 1900's, warranting a 10 year survey in the Loch Ness Lake and even small submarines for reconessaince under the water's surface. The famous picture of Nessie, the small head and long slender neck. Many human's have taken the scientific route and have called Nessie a greenland shark which can grow up to 20 ft long. Other's believe it to be a Plesiasour. Really Nessie is just someone you have to meet. the Loch Ness Lake is a great place to visit every once in a while, even with all the fog.

Happy Monday y’all! The Scotland winter broke me. Scotland: 1, Crystal: 0 I’ve given up on finishing the NE250 loop. It got too cold in the mountains, specifically the Cairngorm Mountains and it was absolutely unbearable. I woke up late from the daily exhaustion, the sun sets at 3:30pm so I barely had daylight to explore, and temperatures dropped at sunset. It’s just an endless cycle. I questioned why I was riding the loop anymore. I no longer enjoyed it and was only forcing myself to do it only for the “accomplishment factor”. Forcing myself to finish the NE250 loop would have made me hate riding this leg, and I didn’t want to feel this way about my expedition. I went back and forth on it so many times and tried to reason with myself. “It’s only 12 more hours in 28-32F/ -2-0C temperatures.” No. Just no. I couldn’t justify the pain. I’ve been doing it for weeks now. So I moved on. And I’m so much happier! 😺 That’s actually something I’m working on. That it’s okay if I don’t finish something I say I’m going to, but that I tried my best. I definitely tried my best. I have the crazy eyes to prove it 👀 Just because we fail at things doesn’t mean we’re failures. The important lesson is we tried our best and are more resilient because of it. Let’s tackle this week! 💪😼🏍 #chasingcrystal #scotlandexplore #ne250 #lochnesslake #mototour #mototouring #mototourism #solofemale #solofemaletraveler #solofemaletravelers #asianamericans #asianwomen (at Loch Ness, Scotland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnxOfpIPUtL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Hello from Loch Ness in Scotland! 🏴 Have you ever heard of the myth of Nessie? It is a legend that says there is a monster with a long neck and humps on its body living in Loch Ness. Loch = lake. Ever since hearing about this story as a kid, I thought the logical solution would be to drain the lake to see if there was any monster left after the water was gone. In my mind, lakes were very small bodies of water. Upon actually visiting Loch Ness, this lake is absolutely massive in size and not drainable. My imagination 😹 It was amazing being able to visit Loch Ness in person, but Nessie must have been taking a nap because there was no monster in sight 🦕 Happy Friday y’all! Have a great monster hunting weekend 😺 #chasingcrystal #lochness #lochnessmonster #lochnesslake #hondadominator #hondadominator250 #nx250 #solofemaletraveler (at Loch Ness, Scotland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnptHZfS-bi/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
