Greece was magic. Specifically, the little island of Skopolos. Ethan was damn near convinced the entire place was made of the stuff, from the sea around it right to the people living on it. And magic only fed magic, that much he knew, so what he didn’t know was why he felt even a hint of a surprise at the way Lana made him feel. The crush was out of hand as it was, but bringing the fairy-girl to an island that was made of pure, unfiltered magic was just unreal. Looking at her under the lights used to illuminate the beach for the little party they were at together, the only thing he could compare it to was the reflection of the moon on the sea; except, this was more breathtaking. “Do you - um, do you want anything to drink?” Smooth, Ethan. Naturally.

Ethan ran a hand through his hair, pen between his teeth as he looked down at his notebook. Everything about Greece was making writing that much easier, the scenery and the people, the vibe. This island was a writer’s paradise, and he couldn’t wait for the rest of the week, to see what he’d come up with. “Hey,” he looked up from his table, smiled at Anya as he saw her. The two of them weren’t very close, but he always got on well with other artists. “Sit, yeah? Unless you have plans, in which case, you’re very obviously not obligated to blow them off for me, especially when I’m mostly just going to be asking you to read stuff I’m writing.”

“Incoming!” Gabe grinned, the bubble of champagne trickling down from the neck of the bottle in his hands. Liquid was coming from every direction, from the wet, salty air, to the shake of ocean water sprinkling from Gabe’s soaking curls as he shook his head. The pop of the bottle opening had turned a few heads, most notably the person who took a blow to the head from the tiny corkscrew flying a few feet away. “Oh, fuck,” he muttered. “Sorry! Didn’t mean... for that. You know physics and all. Projectile flying items. Can I offer you a glass in these trying times?”
