Check out "Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet" on Netflix! It's a complete story in one season, and is definitely my favorite anime ever! It's about a soldier from a future where humans have left Earth who finds himself cut off from the rest of his army and must learn to live a life of peace even though war is all he's ever known. The animation is beautiful and the dub cast is stellar!

Don’t get too excited. I made up an OC that would fit on the ship but it’s all stream of consciousness fix-it fic. Like keeping some people from dying because she’s smart enough, or giving Mika his mobility because she crafted a little module to replicate Barbatos’s systems. They will never see the light of day because they’re super self-indulgent and dumb.
