It's so annoying that the promo for Lockwood and Co. was mostly on Netflix (on Netflix there is a trailer I have never found on youtube)
Omg, yes! I get that they didn't want to invest a huge amount of money into "big" interviews with big outlets. It's fine they only did a handful with lesser known and maybe less relevant (at least where young audiences are concerned) platforms. New shows are always a risk (though, you know... not even trying to give it a shot is simply stupid)! But what pisses me off is that Netflix didn't even really promote those interviews on its own platforms, like X. Iirc (please correct me if I'm wrong) there was pretty much zero promo leading up to the release that came directly through Netflix's channels and was broadcasted to a larger audience. They did the least amount of effort they could possibly get away with and then didn't even use its full potential by blasting it everywhere. The cast and production studio did the best they could, but Netflix did nothing to support them. Like. The fact that so many book fans didn't even know the show was a thing until months after its release says it all.
A show not being promoted so it could reach a new audience? Sad and imo a huge loss of potential.
A show not even reaching its target audience (the book fans)? Nothing but a huge fuck up because how the hell can you do such a bad job that even those who are guaranteed to watch it are unaware of its existence.
