i saw one locklyle post and now iâm having the urge to rewatch and reread lockwood and co
Finished my inks and thumbnails for the week! So of course I sat back down at my desk and drew a design for Lucy Carlyle from Lockwood and Co. because I have a note of my phone with like four comic ideas to do once Iâm less busy, so I need to figure out my designs!
It is a good time of the year to be reminded that Lucy spent one chrismas alone after leaving the agency, possibly working on a case, very possibly eating cookies and sliced cakes while staring out the window with the company of a possibly gleeful and sarcastic skull
and Lockwood was also very possibly spending it alone at Portland Row after convincing Holly very convincingly that he'll be fine as his two other associates George and Holly would've left for home for the holiday
:D
Sometimes I remember that Quill became a part of the agency as an adult and was figuratively the brakes for the crazy missing one wheel trolley that is the Lockwood and co., and I'm thankful for Mr. Stroud's ability to write such good character development
Lucy wasn't enough. She'd just follow Lockwood where he was heading. Holly couldn't stop them from doing anything unless it was about not ruining the filing system. George would get mad and whine about it, but it had never stopped the agency from plummetting into certain dangers before
Then came Quill Kipps, resident former kinda rival (or he thought himself to be, sweet Quilliam), later the kinda responsible adult of the co.
We need a bit lesser spine in the agency, and it's called Quill 'self preservation' Kipps :D (affectionate)
Holly Munro being fashionable is always canon and The Thing for me
pls like if you like this, said she not ai artist
Saw a picture of a girl looking at herself in the lake, and was inspired to draw Lucy-its-not-my-job-to-be-pretty-Carlyle âşď¸
holly munro x text posts
Luce and Holly get cute and/or melancholic poses, Lockwood gets 'It's too hot for anything other than lime vanilla sorbet, and we got ourselves the biggest fan from the shop'
it's very on brand *sparkly smile
pls like the non ai art by the lonely sad millenial
lockwood is a horse:
Suicidal tendencies
Delicate build
Long legs
Inability to assess danger correctly
thinking about the difference in how lucy was treated at jacob's company vs. lockwood and co (especially in episode 2)
because jacobs blamed her for a traumatizing event that was entirely his fault, escaped all legal consequences, and led everyone in town to believe that lucy got her team killed. keep in mind that this is after she worked for him for three years straight.
and then with lockwood, on her VERY FIRST CASE (first in the show, and one of the first in the books) she:
burns a house to the ground
illegally steals evidence from a crime scene
jumps out a window
escapes the hospital
accidentally summons a murderous ghost INTO HIS HOUSE and has to wake him up in the middle of the night so they can fight her
gets caught as an illegal worker, getting him into legal trouble
puts them all into immense debt
and lockwood's like "I think you mean WE burned a house downđ¤¨" "this is my responsibility because my name's on the door" "I'll get us out of this"
insane that a 15 year old boy is winning employer of the month over this grown adult man after knowing lucy for like one day. he saw her angrily eating biscuits and making threats against the health and safety of his best and only friend and went. yeah. she's my responsibility now
Help, I'm still at the restaurant
imagine Quill Kipps losing his bejeweled rapier and he acts tough but everyone can tell heâs sad about it
so the gang pitches in to buy him one of those bedazzling kits with glue and a rainbow of jewels to choose from
one week later every single knickknack Kipps could get his hands on SPARKLES - and the others keep finding their personal possessions suddenly dripping with jewels
Lockwoodâs sunglasses are now striped red and blue. Hollyâs teacup is covered in pink glittering roses. Georgeâs thermometer shines so bright he almost doesnât dare use it on the job. Itâs sparkly, bedazzled chaos - and no one has the heart to stop Kipps, whose joy is the only thing brighter than the jewels devouring 35 Portland Row.
Have started reading the third Scarlett & Browne book. Life is good after all.
Such an underappreciated series! If you havenât yet: go check it out!! Equally fun and exciting and unique as Lockwood and Co. Truly canât recommend it enough (and there will be a movie adaption (I say with slight trepidation because who knows what will become of it)).
i decided that i would live for the sake of love.
forever mourning the fact that we never got to see Holly Munro on screen. she is amazing and I love her so much its actually crazy.
