BOOK SPOILERS but an underrated lockwood and co moment is when barnes says he has important information and so the kids pull up in front of an ugly house and start speculating on what horrors could possibly have occurred there. and they go on for a while about how a house like that has to be haunted by something equally terrible. and then they go inside and it's barnes's house. cannot stress enough that he was present for the entire conversation

Shoutout to Lockwood hiring Kipps as a major step in deciding to live ‼️ Knowing Kipps was just overprotective of agents and that’s what bothered him about Lockwood ‼️ Realizing Lucy wanted him alive and literally hiring a guy to call him out for being reckless ‼️

Shout out to Kipps for beefing with a teenager and immediately shelving his pride to work for and nearly die for said teenager ‼️

So, I am working on this comic with the brilliant Vero Cazot, who helps with the delivery of Jonathan's trademark humor (but in french) and the dialogue smoothness in general. She is amazing. Credit where credit is due, characters can't just talk and stay put so she and the editor came up with a way to deliver some seconds of Locklyle dance as they try to escape the mustached inspector. As you can see I was totally on board. Doing the lineart, so colors and baloons are not definitive, just something quick for sharing.

Imagine, you're 16, all your friends are dead and you just started a new job with a cute 16 year old boss who's also super mysterious only to slowly discover, you remind him of his dead sister, he's *THIS* close to killing himself at any moment, and the ghosts attacking you might be a manufactured problem by rich people.

Oh yeah it's only my favorite book series ever. Definitely read them before watching the tv show! The books explain a lot of the world that the show tends to leave out.

Here's my qualifications, aka every time I put Lockwood & Co on the staff shelf at work:

I’m sure most of you know these anyway, but if any of you don’t: missing Lockwood & Co and especially the trio’s interactions (read: their constant bickering)? Do yourself a favor and read Jonathan’s other series. Scarlett and Browne as well as the Bartimeus series feature amazing and unique world-building, action-filled plots and incredibly funny dialogues with lots of snark and sarcasm and very dry humor. The character’s chemistry is 100% as hilarious as in L&Co.

The books are obviously not the same.. but they’re just as good.
