Unfortunately for Stratt, she is too important. She'd felt the growing pressure on her shoulders for weeks, and knew it was only a matter of time until she collapsed, but she wouldn't let herself rest until then. If she hit her limit, she could justify it. Or; Eva collapses from overworking herself. Luckily, she has her saving Grace.

Summary:

The first thing Grace noticed about Stratt when she wasn't working was that she was longingly fixated on the sky. The second was that she never actually flew. He wasn't even sure he'd seen her wings not folded tightly against her back. She wasn't the only person with wings on the ship, far from it, but she was certainly the strangest about it. Or; Grace and Stratt are part of the 30% of the population who have wings. Stratt's situation is made all the more complicated for it.

Summary:

Eva Stratt was very cautiously hopeful. It was three days to launch and things were going well. Well enough that she was standing outside with Grace, watching the cloudy sky as they drank coffee together. What if Stratt and Grace were just a bit too close to the explosion? What if that changed everything? Eva Stratt would have boarded the Hail Mary if she would survive the coma. What if she got her wish? Or: Eva Stratt boards the Hail Mary with Grace, but only after things go very, very sideways.
