Loeffler
A massive story just went down in Atlanta, if we take the time to acknowledge it.
By any measure, it should be the biggest story in sports: A franchise owner runs a racist Senate campaign, throwing her own Black players under the bus in the process. Meanwhile, one of those players takes the year off from playing ball to dedicate herself to social justice concerns. That player asks to meet with the aforementioned franchise owner to discuss those concerns and is denied. The franchise owner refuses to meet and respectfully engage with someone who disagrees with her for political reasons. After the franchise owner faceplants their election campaign, ending in ignominious defeat, the players, the union, fans, and eventually even the league pressures her to sell the club.
That in and of itself would be a hell of a story. But this one goes to the next level: The aforementioned player joins an ownership group and buys the team. It’s positively cinematic. But this story isn’t getting the media attention it should be. That’s because it took place in the WNBA. Sexism is a hell of a drug, and it’s a damn shame because this is a story for the ages.

2020: Happens
2021: Hold my beer
Trying to process a lot of emotions right now. Never thought both of Georgia’s Senate seats would flip blue, but it looks like this is really happening. It’s hard to overstate just how big this is.
Democrats having 50 seats in the Senate, plus VP Harris to break ties, means the GOP loses all of its power to obstruct Biden, just like that. It’s kind of a sign of how terrible our system is that the difference between having 49 and 50 Senate seats is so enormous, but that’s for another time.
It’s pretty clear the 2022 midterms will be bad for Dems no matter what, so until then, they have to do everything they can while they have the power...at a minimum, confirm judges like there’s no tomorrow.
But Warnock and Ossoff winning is also a major rebuke of Trump, maybe even more so than November was. Georgia is a purple state right now largely because of Trump, and GOP leaders seem ready to blame Trump for this loss. If losing the Senate pushes Republicans in a better direction long term, that’s as valuable as anything.
Have to keep reminding myself that the Georgia runoffs are going to keep flip flopping for the next couple hours
What we see now is not the end result
im scared about the georgia election. from what ik perdue and ossoff basically are 50/50. perdue is a bigot, we all know that, but he knows how to trick republicans, and lord forgive me but ossof is sketchy as fuck (im still supporting him though.)
kelly loeffler on the otherhand should have no chance. she doesn’t even try and hide she’s a clueless racist clown. rapheal warnock basically has a gimme, but if people dont vote then im going to have to listen to this stupid ass clown till the next election, and knowing georgia that is highly likely
Georgians! Please vote! I know we’re all tired of hearing Jon Ossoff ads but this is an important election & if you can vote you should make plans to do so at your earliest convenience
If CNN is calling Ossoff out, it means his lie is so obvious and easy to debunk.
