first take on lodgersona... (plus hastily colored digital vers)
Name: Charlotte “Lottie” Berry
Age: Mid-Late 20’s
Sexuality: Bisexual
Field of study: Chemistry, specializing in the development of flame retardant treatments and products
Family: Her father is English and mother is Cantonese, they are travelers and activists. Currently living in Hong Kong, they are fighting against the rampant opium trade. When Lottie has time, she does her best to aid the cause.
Lottie is generally cheerful, and is overly emotional, often prone to severe mood swings. A little bit of a workaholic, she often forgets to eat and survives mainly on bread, butter, and salami. Though she certainly feels the restraints of Victorian society, Lottie is not particularly phased by it, and enjoys the challenge of wooing people to her side. She is pleasant to talk to and adores gossip, often appearing ditzy. She’s distracted easily, so prefers to work on many projects at once. She has two to three notebooks open at a time on any given surface, each with dozens of different notes on each page.
Lottie’s work comprises of 50% producing pre existing fire resistant products and treatments, 25% creating new methods, and 25% convincing people why they should invest in flame retardant materials in the first place. Her work is relatively self funding and helps out the Society a fair bit as the amount of fires has significantly decreased. Though her work has been successful for furnishings such as upholstery and curtains, Lottie is still attempting to perfect wearable fireproof items. (her mask, gloves, and apron are heavily treated but the chemicals wouldn’t be reliable or safe enough to market to other people)
(pictured in the image: portrait, her working clothes/indoor everyday wear, a day look/walking suit, and an evening look. she wears a full face mask made of treated leather and glass, and elbow length gloves and a utility apron made of the same treated leather)
