felt like i should share this WIP of Irie’s loft home. i havent seen it fully rendered in a while so seeing it now feels weird. i plan on making the lighting warmer and adding some wallpaper so it doesnt seem so bland and hopefully a lil more realistic. but decoration wise i’m p proud of it

Molly and Teddy’s hidden gem loft situated within an innocuous factory building is filled with color, whimsical artwork, and quirky objects.
The loft’s ceilings reach 17 feet, making the 1400-square-foot apartment feel even more massive.
The bookshelf has been designed as a wedge and sits against a crooked wall.
Both are big on crossword puzzles and Molly is puzzle creator for the New York Times and other publications.
The metal ladder was found on the street and dragged home. The lofted bedroom is a space for guests and also a place to read.
Molly’s also a contributing writer and the office door is a joke for her and Teddy.
The Corona bottle wall in the bathroom came with the apt.
They got the table at an auction and it reflects their obsession with puzzles.
The blackboard covers one side of the Corona wall.
Teddy & Helen the cat.
Molly bought a 16th-century painting through Sotheby’s after it went unsold at auction. It’s an oil portrait of a menacing, gleeful little boy with a receding hairline. They call him “Babyman.” In case of fire, she says she’d grab Babyman.
The makeshift fire-escape ladder that they bought- then Teddy realized that this entire illegally-zoned building could go up in flames and they’d have no way out.
In the bedroom, the unusual lamp is mad of terrazzo.
This is a fascinating piece.
I often wonder about these book towers.
Here’s a very unusual chest of drawers.
