So I decided since I have been reminded of it, I should stop fucking around and get on with the unwatched works from Sam Claflin's filmography. I've gone with Any Human Heart, a 4-episode series chronicling the life of a writer Logan Mountstuart. Sam plays the youngest version of Logan, beginning with his days at Oxford University in the 1920s, where he is very obsessed about losing his virginity. I had no idea he would get so, ehm, explicit so early in his career, lol.
So far I've only watched this first episode; Sam won't appear in any more, in fact he is only in it for about half the episode, when he is replaced by Matthew McFadyen. It was still a delight to watch anyway, the story is quite good and also funny! It's told in flashback, old Logan (Jim Broadbent) reminiscing about his life.
I thought Sam's eyes didn't look right, then I remembered I read that he had blue contacts for this role, bc the character has blue eyes. Sam's eyes are more green.

Episode 2
Moodboard: Freya x Logan
“It's amazing how sudden the effect is - it must be the result of a deep atavistic mating urge buried inside us. A glance and you think: 'Yes, this is the one, this one is right for me.' Every instinct in your body seems to sing in unison.”
Gentleman of Style #50: Logan Mountstuart (Matthew Macfadyen), Any Human Heart, 2010.
“Those were the years when I was truly happy. Knowing that is both a blessing and a curse. It's good to acknowledge that you found true happiness in your life - in that sense your life has not been wasted. But to admit that you will never be happy like that again is hard.”
