SKYPEIA IS SO FUCKING GOODDDDD DUDE. im sorry but it definitely is my favourite arc so far,, easily. I really enjoyed the fight with eneru and all the buildup, particularly as I mentioned how, while Luffy has a natural one over him, does not have an immediate win, and struggles to beat eneru. AND THE BITCH IS STILL ALIVE!!!!!!!!!>??????? UGH, im not surprised but STILL
One thing that i find consistently fun in the straw hats but most notably luffy is how they are innately self focused, yet entirely kind and determined. Like, they will set out to do something because they want to, but if they see an injustice happening along the way they will do what they can to prevent it. Luffy wants fairness and equality in his theft and crime lmao, and I just think it is so based. Like yes stand up to tyranny king.
The reason I particularly enjoy it is that its for completely self serving reasons, like, its happening to their friend, or it pisses them off, or they want something specific. Its not for the whole world, its for them (usually for Luffy) and i think its nice to see that, because i find that that is considerably more realistic for most people, but also for PIRATES LMAAOOOOOO
not to say they dont care about people generally, but ykwim
