WATER SEVEN (CHP 304 - 439 )
WOWOOW ok so a LOT happened in this arc, i mean really, it was foxy, water seven and then enies lobby. BUT! im going by the manga seperations
foxys bit was very stressful to read,, the whole losing a team member thing,, i was glad it didnt drag on to another round. however ! bits i did like:
the zoro and sanji fight, seeing them work together is always super fun hehehe.
LUFFY! the way he held his own, and his love for his crew is one of the reasons he is in my top 3 favs <3<3<3
i also liked how we finally got to see the beginning stages of robins character when we meet aokiji, her reaction to him and the sheer strength he holds!

FRANKYS BACKSTORY. ugh, that whole section was so so good, and it was super cool to see how the weapon blueprint and the other weapon intersect with eachother, im really enjoying learning about the history and how it influences everyone >:D
ROBIN! now i was not a super huge robin liker, because i knew nothing abt her and i didnt like ow abruptly she joined. BUt her past was genuinely some of the best chapters ive read - i was so invested, and its been weird as hell to see how dystopian it is, and how reality parallels what the world government have been doing with the ponegliffs. i really appreciate robins character now, even if shes not my favourite, i think she has a strong basis that i like.
USOPP. OH NY GODF. usopp has quickly taken the title of my favourite strawhat (nami and luffy 2nd/3rd) and this arc solidified that for me. I really enjoy how well rounded he is - he is not shy to be himself, and i liked how he didnt try to change himself to stay with the crew. his fight with luffy and him leaving the crew was great for his character - he was aware of himself, and felt that was the only way of doing it. i also respect his love for the merry (and the fact he had a valid reason to love her so much, and no one else actually DID understand quite like he did).
sniper king aids his character quite well i think. obviously, the existence of sniper king helped him stick to his integrity, and rescue robin. but further than that the mask helps him enter his confidence - which i think is fitting considering its basically a physical realisation of his lies, which, alongside his pranks and inventions, are his ASSET. im happy he doesnt try to get strong or adept with a sword or something, because his strength is in what he already has, and i think its pretty awesome that enies lobby showed that off. i also just liked seeing how each member of the crew respected him fully, and the scene when he returned was so uhbgrjbggbrgrow'
i think finally, its probably luffy figuring out gear 2 and 3. that is soso awesome and when he refights lucci. (and his interaction with usopp at the end where they cheer him on and he screams for him udfigfrgbrgb anyway.)
but yes. very awesome arc. i think i DO prefer skypeia plot wise, but in terms of character water seven is AMAZING! so theyre pretty even in my mind :)
OH AND I LOVE THE SUNNY SO MUCH HER DESIGN IS SO COMPLEX I WAS WOAAHH and KODY COMEBACK BHELLL YEAH oh and that other guy was there too ig/j /j
