WHY WASN’T THIS KEPT IN I WOULD HAVE DIED
From the start of the episode I felt it had some "Midsommar" vibes. But I wasn't expecting that!
"I'm Loggle."
Love how everyone in this promo art has a problem in their other eye/covers their other eye and then there's just Toadie 😭
Personality-wise there is literally no difference between normal Shroomy and Buff Reboot Shroomy. He's still the world's greatest boyscout and Anti-Shroomy is still a thing, he just happens to have mad gains for whatever reason.
It's inspired by Buff Loggle from season 3 of Amphibia.

Ever since Amphibia ended I'd started working on a picture for it on and off between the other stuff I make until I decided the last few days to stop working on the other stuff and finally get this done. And I do quite love how it turned out. I think the only other Disney show I've done a piece like this of was my Star vs. The Forces of Evil picture I made when that show ended: https://www.deviantart.com/warahi/art/Star-Vs-The-Forces-of-Evil-799119410 As for Amphibia itself well, I would honestly say that it might be the greatest Disney show ever created (and one of my favorite shows ever made). Everything about it was just so much fun. It started out as a sort of wacky "another-day-another-adventure" type of show with an overarching plot lingering in the background until the halfway-season-finale and then especially the Season Finale proper which just kept building and gradually shifting the show into a more focused narrative until by the end the stakes are raised to pretty dangerous levels. Of course it also helps that Disney (for some reason) allowed Matt and his team to do more "teen-level" material than most stuff they air. Honestly I'm surprised they didn't just get the notice that they were getting canceled after what they did in Season 2's finale. Happy, but surprised. The only thing I would've liked more in terms of the content that Amphibia was "allowed" to show would be if they were allowed to show more graphic injuries because...well some of those scenes during the end of Season 3 would definitely have had quite a bit of blood in them if the rating of the show were higher. The show was fantastic.
I know it'll probably be quite a few years before Disney allows this type of show to happen again, especially with their "getting rid of stuff because it "doesn't fit their brand""-garbage phase they seem to be in right now, but I'm always so happy for the brief moments where the American kids animation industry actually does allow something like this to go all out and have the full impact and depth that the creator intends. It's certainly a show I'll always love =)
