Generosity
So I got the plan name wrong, it's Generosity: 30 days toward biblical generosity. In case you were looking for it. So when I started this plan, it was so disconcerting. I wanted to give up but I'm glad I've stuck thru it. I now appreciate that it allows the Bible to speak for itself but was getting used to have a guide. So I suggest you pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit. I got my answer, 21 days into the devotion😊☺️. It matters to God how I think about money. I am often consumed by fear- will I make money stretch to pay bills and save up, if I retire will I have enough to maintain my lifestyle, what about emergency funds in case I get fired or decide to really be self-employed. See the trend, and when I saw it I'd then worry if I was giving enough, my priorities clearly are warped and why am I worrying about possibilities when I'm not guaranteed tomorrow. It's enough to drive you crazy. But I want to be mature and act in faith. So here goes. Sorry if I'm rambling. On to one of the scriptures from day 1 : Genesis 1:26-31. So what does the making of mankind have to do with generosity? Here's my view so far: God made this planet well suited and perfect. The pinnacle of the creation was mankind who God gave the best features- the image of Godhead. And he placed man in the best environment and we were to rule in the same way as God.
