Eliot: I stay close to protect Hardison and Parker. I suppose I’m third wheeling but if that’s what it takes to keep them safe then so be it

Hardison: Eliot is our boyfriend. We take him on dates all the time

Parker: he hasn’t figured it out yet

Hardison: I suggested we tell him

Parker: but this is more fun

Hardison: yeah it is

A muppet version of leverage:

Obviously Kermit plays Nate - ringleader/mastermind. The vibes are there okay.

Miss Piggy is Sophie also for obvious reasons.

Parker is played by both Gonzo and Rizzo - gonzo does all the stunts and a key plot point is how rizzo keeps pickpocketing critical objects but not realising they’re important until someone else mentions it.

Eliot - now here me out - is played by Rolf. A key part of his backstory in this muppet version is that moreau was not only using him as a hitter but also was a seedy music producer.

(Side Note: all hitters are played by members of the muppet band Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem)

Hardison is Hardison. He is not a muppet. This is important to me.

I have more thoughts about this but I’m at work rn so will expand later. (Mainly muppet Eliot was taught how to cook by the Swedish chef)

Building on from hatverse (not to be confused with bathverse) we know that Hardison can knit and is very open about it.

Eliot I’m gonna project onto and say prefers crochet as it’s easier on the hands (imo)

He originally started as a progression from sewing (his needlework on skin and fabric is pristine and a work of art either way) when she decided to get better at fixing clothes. He found it a good way to gently keep up with fine motor skills that his chronic hand pain dulls.

(I’m gonna go back to sewing although I know the ask was about knitting I apologise.)

Eliot becomes excellent at embroidery and starts adding initials to clothing for his people. Hardison even manages to convince him to hand embroider custom leverage international sweatshirts for him and Parker.

However due to his pain he sometimes can’t do any of it. Those are the worst times, when his brain gets loud and distracted and he can’t focus his energy into the detailed task of creation. It can spiral into dark thoughts of how his hands are becoming the product of years of violence. However, that’s when he focuses on the callouses from his crafts, the ones that slip between those from guns and knives and nestle there as a reminder that his own pain has become less about hurting others and more about protecting and helping.

(Then he goes and has a bath and we’re back to bathverse again)

Putting this here as a note for later when I have time:

Trans man Eliot Spencer and his relationship to his father.

Going from being daddy’s favourite who loved to get dirty and act like a tomboy to being shunned for turning out to be the boy he always wanted. Not conforming and being ostracised for it.

I have more thoughts and will return to this later :))
