YEAH i still can’t stop thinking abt how Uncle Sokka probably DID teach tiny Bumi ii the ‘way of the boomerang’ bc “us non-benders have to stick together, right buddy?”
And after a long morning of doing Just Normal Kid Stuff Omg Don’t Worry About it Katara with Uncle Sokka, Bumi’s running around with Kya and they’re just jokingly teasing each other like:
Kya: WELL AT LEAST I CAN WATERBEND LIKE MOMMY AND DADDY >:)
Bumi: YEAH but can you do THIS :D *yeets a stick in a random direction*
Kya: wow... very impressive mr. stupi-
*the boomerang comes flying back from the opposite direction and sends kya toppling from behind*
~ and an hour later, katara’s still cradling a sobbing kya and sternly lecturing a giggling sokka and bumi ~
