unlike in the anime, Juvia didn't follow Team Natsu all the way to Impatiens, and only hangs out near the guild that is being rebuilt
(also, in Japanese she says 'Juvia' here instead of 'I')
Juvia mentions Gray by name: 1
Random headcanon. Loke has always dressed modest but back when he first join fairy tail he wasn't as modest/covered as he is when Lucy joins. Instead of the big coat he would more often be seen in a variety of T-shirts and ⅞ cargo pants like we see him in Tenrou Island. It's just that as time goes on and his magic fails he start noticing how patches of his body would flicker and become transparent. And it slowly spreads so he started covering up more and now he's always using the coat.
When the flickering and transparency finally spreads to his hand, that's when he admits defeat. It's finally time, his magic can't hold on any longer. So he quits fairy tail and prepare to die.
Good thing Lucy Heartfilia was there.
If there’s one thing I would change about the Loke Arc it’s Happy’s response to Lucy getting grabbed by those sleaze dudes, who then proceed to use magic to paralyze her so they can walk away with her. It’s very obvious what their intentions are even before Loke himself confirms that they prey on women and when Lucy does turn to Happy initially for some help he turns away and pretends to be a normal cat, and even as someone who doesn’t like Happy’s character (as someone who finds him endlessly annoying) even I am aware how weirdly out of character such a response is
Loke would’ve shown up regardless so I really don’t get why M/shima felt the need to do that with Happy instead of, idk, have him fly off to get someone and then Loke shows up or maybe he tries to help directly and gets batted aside. Either of those would’ve been leagues better than that stupid little “meow” gag
The irony that in the Loke arc Lucy says Karen is a super famous Celestial Mage and then in Loke’s backstory he directly tells Karen she’s not able to summon 2 spirits at once (which is why he can stop her bringing forth Aries) and in that same arc Lucy manages to summon all 5 of her Zodiacs for a few brief seconds and then by the end of the series she’s capable of safely summoning 2 Zodiacs together and sustaining them
But even before that we see her and Angel are both capable of using multiple Zodiacs in the same day so Karen got de-throned in no time flat ansfdegr
(For my non-FT followers if a mage/wizard used too much magic then they die. In Tartatos, Lucy summons 3 Zodiacs, which Loke tells her not to do because of how dangerous it is)
Re-reading the Loke arc for the thousandth time because what else am I suppsoed to do with my life and how could I forget the tiny details that fucked me up most on my re-reads, both in the “damn I’m never gonna recover from how cool Loke is” sense and in the “fuck me I’m sobbing into my pillow” sense
(Under read more because I fangirl a little bit oops)
Rambling about Fairies - Anime Episode 32
This final wrap up of the arc reflects what happened in the Phantom Arc as well. That’s exactly what happened-- and exactly the lesson she learned.
This arc is when Lucy looks upon it from the perspective of an outsider, and finally, fully understands from an emotional standpoint how everyone took what happened in Phantom Arc. It’s one thing to be told and assured, another thing to see it from the other end and go through the same emotions.
From the point of the person being helped, she charged headfirst to become the helper, and she’s the one that yelled, over and over, that Loke was not at fault.
Growth.
